Everton have blown hot and cold this season, starting well with three wins from their first five games, including a fine display at White Hart Lane. However, things have been a little inconsistent since and defeats at fellow top seven chasers Aston Villa and Newcastle were frustrating. But they did manage to pull of a morale-boosting win in the Ukraine.

Last season in this very fixture David Moyes's side pulled off their biggest win over the Anfield outfit since 1964. Surely that couldn't be repeated against Rafa's unbeaten Premier League side?
