GLASGOW (Reuters) -Champions Celtic won 1-0 at Falkirk on Sunday with a late goal from Aiden McGeady in their Scottish Premier League clash.
He drove a low shot beyond keeper Scott Higgins from a Shaun Maloney pass in 86 minutes just a couple of minutes after Celtic keeper Artur Boruc brilliantly tipped away a shot from Alan Gow.
Celtic top the standings with 22 points from nine games. Rangers were at home to Aberdeen and Hearts were facing Dundee United in the other SPL games on Sunday.
Motherwell produced a surprise 5-0 home win over Kilmarnock on Saturday, but remain bottom in the standings with seven points from nine games. St Mirren beat Hibernian 1-0 and sit third with 13 points from nine.
