Most of these guys already have a reasonable reputation, the only one i didnt really know much about was Miguel Veloso. Also they are all midfielders or strikers.

What about Micheal Johnson of Manchester City he is just 19 and is already one of the best cenral midfielders in the premier league, the world is his oyster.

How does Fabregas not make it into this list?
by Matt on November 01, 2007
No Fabregas?.....World class at 20
by Leroux on November 01, 2007
if you can put 21year olds like veloso on the list, surely fabregas(20) should be on there, for he is by far the best player in europe at this time!!
by Presh on November 01, 2007
Fran Merida, Henri Lansbury, Mark Randall, etc etc etc
by Nathan on November 01, 2007
I think that is a good list of players, there are a few glaring misses, although when you try to compress the worlds best talent into 10 its going to be hard. Don't know about Babel being in the top 10, class prospect that he is, I don't think in the top ten. You could argue that he isn't even the best prospect for Liverpool as they have Lucas. Can't argue with Aguero being number 1 though!
by leroux on November 01, 2007
i agree with u that they are good players, but they are not in the same class as anderson, veloso ect...YET!!!
Fran Merida, Henri Lansbury, Mark Randall, etc etc etc
Give me a break...
Oh and if fabregas aint on the list its pointless.... Prospects, where then yes include players that have not made even a handful of appearences, but come on Talents was the headline and if fabregas aint there you should be locked up... Im a Liverpool fan not a Arsenal fan metioning players that havnt even pulled on the shirt more than once yet

About Babel on this list. Not done much so far for Liverpool, we expected more!
by Franny on November 01, 2007
Doesn't say prospects anywhere on the article. It says "most exciting youngsters in the world at the moment.". Not so wise now are you?
by Shane Robinson on November 01, 2007
Em, Fabregas? Denilson? Babel has shown sparks, particularly that dummy and finish against Derby but then again they are the whipping boys. Still, if he is here then Arsenal have a few that deserve entry.

Aparantley a little known argentinian who plays for Barca. Some say he might be good one day.
Yes landsbury and Merida should be there. Merida just carried Spain under 17's to the world cup final and along with Bojan is the next spanish super star. Barca have taken the player to court over the issue. If he wasnt going to be a great they wouldn't have bothered.Henri Landsbury will be Englands next super star.He was on the bench against Liverpool at just 16 and made his debut for Arsenal last night. He is that good technically that you couldn't tell the difference between him and Brazilian Denilson.

I'm pretty sure the likes of Fabregas, Messi, Rooney et al weren't included because they are already up there with the best. This was a list for those that aren't quite "there" yet.
by mark on November 01, 2007
wayne rooney is the best striker in the world
by clockendjim on November 01, 2007
Just got to add my emphasis to pointing out the clanger of not including Cesc Fabregas. He is head and shoulders above all of these listed.
by Author on November 01, 2007
Obviously Fabregas, Messi and Rooney are sensations, but they are already proven players - the point of the list was to be original and to point out some of the more unknown or low profile stars in world football.
by Sakibul Haq on November 01, 2007
Your list isnt too bad.but u forgot to add 2 of europe's premier talents.Cesc fabregas and vincent kompany.at least in my opinion
by Seif Hendy on November 01, 2007
samir nasri, theo walcott, gareth bale, fran merida, fernando gago, royston drenthe, nicklas bendtner, abou diaby, denilson and that's about everyone you've forgotten.
by masterring on November 01, 2007
Luka Modric at 22 years best player in Croatia, and best player in Croatian national team. And no Fabregas on the list is just LOL. Veloso? Give me a break, such an overrated and not so gifted player. He was so awful in CL game vs Roma.

wat about liverpools rising star in central midfield, hasn had a real opportunity to show wat he can do but has still made an impact in the premiership, surely he deserves 10 at least???
