they may be but it really depends on whether fans believe what they read all the time. Certain supporters will pick up on the smallest of rumours like the "so and so nearly signed a mega star" stories whereas I think people who know football don't take a lot of notice until a rumour is confirmed by the club itself. Its only the sports writers who like to believe a good lie because it gives them something to write about.

The press in this country are far too influential, but what gives them the right to have any opinion, and how do they manage to continally disrupt and destroy football teams, people and companies?, after all they are from the lowest forms of humanity, who else would continually lie until that lie becomes fact, trawl through garbage, give their views as YOUR opinion, and guess what YOU buy the damn things, because if you didnt they wouldnt exsist. In this day and age there is no need to buy a newspaper, as its no longer news by the time you've bought it, so dont buy them..simple as that!
