For me and hundreds of thousands of others the only match that has fans on edge from kick off is the derby between Newcastle and Sunderland. This is not just about football the two cities breath football that

Real v Barca (although not technically a derby) Glasgow Derby, North London Derby, Mersey Derby, Brum Derby it means so much to the fans of the respective clubs. To me though, i don't class arsenal spurs as a huge match anymore, Arsenal have much bigger fish to fry than a local derby against mediocre premiership opposition. Bring on Chelsea, Man Utd and the Scousers.....

even though the arsev spurs is as good a choice as any, i would have to go with celtic vs rangers with its religious overtones and the domination of the scottish league. the fact is all the english derbies have suffered through periods when one team was clearly superior, or indeed one or other was relegated ps ed arsenal were "promoted" in 1919 (not in 21-22) and the somehow was because of politicking by arsenal boss sir henry norris.

I can only speak for our hatred for Arsenal. They are on the crest of a wave at the moment, where as we seem to be stubbling through our season.I was initially optitistic pre-season,and was surprised when the arse fell out of our season. Not to worry we will gather momentum and maybe a lesson has been learnt. The Squad is undoubtedly talented and I'm sure Ramos will bring out the quality. By the way I hate Arsenal timistic

i'm surprised nobody mentioned the english "derby" man utd-liverpool i think its tougher than the derby against the bluenose, although i also hate them.. but.. the hate between scousers and manutd it's really big, i've experienced it a lot of times.. it's a pity that we haven't won over them for a few years now.

As someone who has been to many derbies there is nothing in British football that compares to the Cardiff City v Swansea City derby. Pure hatred and a nastiness that runs deep. The only game tht comes close is Ipswich v Norwich. What I have witnessed and expierenced is a level of violence and hate that stays with you forever. Nowadays the police control who goes and how many get in so the days of a real derby atmosphere is quickly fading away.

Absolutely AC Milan vs. Inter Milan... these two team togheter have more trophee and international cup than all derby over the world... MILAN'S DERBY is better...
