Picked up the link from the Observer. I always use the sign in "Come on You Golden Boys & often sign off keep the faith, so we obviously have similar views. Your arcticle is interesting and quite well balanced, although like all of us you are slightly concerned that the wheels may come off at some point. Saturday v Colchester was just one of those days - I was at the match and have never seen a team miss so many chances, the defensive frailities are more of a concern and we need Demerit back asap and some proper cover. Stewart is also a concern at left back and shows no urgency to get back after joining the attack. However I'm not ready to write off McAnuff & Ellington as poor buys just yet, and would prefer to give them a decent chance. Aidy's track record in bringing in and developing talent speaks for itself. Agree 100% with your comments about the midfield, although Mahon is really all we've got at the moment and we must all support him and respect he always gives 100%. The West Brom ga

Robin. A good article. It probably sums up how most supporters feel. There is such a difference though between Champ and Premier. It must be hard also to avoid being raided by more-moneyed Premier League clubs as you say. When the club first got into the old 1st division, for me there was never any doubt that they would do well, and boy did they. Players like Blisset and Barns and Callaghan made the team bomb proof. I fear now football has changed so much, that it will be a while before we are that secure again. I do think we will get promoted, and stay there but it will need loads of hard work from all.
