I don't think Heinze can come to Liverpool in January even if he wanted to. Isn't he bound by the FIFA regulation regarding number of clubs he can play for in a year. I'd like us to have him, and maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't we have to wait until the summer transfer window?

I am really beginning to doubt Raffas sanity. The ridiculous comment's he made about Peter Crouch and his 'attitude'border on vindictiveness and I for one would be very disappointed if Crouchy was given the heave ho! Unique talent like Crouch is impossible to replace. 'I'm trying to keep a Scouse contingent in the team' What a joke! There are only two in the first team squad - Gerrard and Carragher. Will that be difficult to achieve - unless he is thinking about selling Gerrard. Not completely out of the question as I think anyone who challeneges Raffas authority is headed for the door. Stevie G's recent comment about having five home grown players in each Prem team was in my opinion a slap in the face of Raffa who seems bent on offloading English players. Carson and Crouch being the latest to be shopped elsewhere. The rest are already out on loan. Anderson, Hamill, Lindfield, Guthrie etc. Heinze and Garay would be great acquisitions, but like Vidich, Garay will probably choose Man U. The big d

That would be a topp signing, but I would argue with you about cruch exit from anfield.....GO REDS

Crouch is 'unique' but that doesn't make him any good. Like it or not, if Crouch played as well as everyone seems to think, he would be in the team. But he hasn't. He's been poor for us this season, and the back end of last. He was poor against Fulham too. Against Porto he was ambysmal. It's not about him being English, it's about him not being good enough. And yes I would question his attitude as well. The way he bitches to the media is Gerrard-esque, with the major difference being he's not as important as Gerrard - so he can be sold. As for Carson, he's a good keeper, but is he better than Reina? Of course not. So who would you rather have, a decent English keeper or a world class Spanish keeper?

Lastly, I don't buy this sh** coming from United that they have more English players. They have spent 30M on Rio, 30M on Rooney, 18M on Carrick, 18M on Hargreaves. That's 96 million on 4 players. Four players!! I would only pay Rooney's fee and that's at a push. The others are massively over-inflated. Our youth players, if they're good enough, will come through. If they're not, then so be it. I wouldn't play them for the sake of them being English, I'd play them for being good enough. The problem with the lack of English players is down to our culture growing up. How many here when playing for youth teams were encouraged to just hoof it up, and rush the opposition? Our youngsters on the whole lack the technique. Look at Spain's youngsters, they're hot property right now for a reason, they're taught to play on the ground in short spaces. We're not, which is why our national team is incapable of hitting more than 5 passes before someone plays a long one over the top. It's why we can't keep the ball against the
..... likes of Portugal and Brazil. Targetting transfer policy is useless, it would only diminish the quality of our league and thus our national team. Plus it would be illegal in EU law.

Crouch, riise.sissoko are going nowhere.Carson is out.But i do hope we do get Quaresma and Heinze...(difficult-but you never know)Mancini we can do without... YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE

Quaresma, Garay and Anelka(if a striker leaves)
by Truevibez on November 17, 2007
I think liverpool should go for Quaresma and garay but think abt the growing interest of Javi Martinez, more options but Quaresma is like of ronaldo of man u...he would be great threat 2 him for the portuguese side right? And this will show his talent..lets just hope he does sumthing gud in the transfer window..coz im sick of young players comin n not being allowed 2 play...get experienced players!!! Club and international experience!!!!

You can't play for 3 clubs in any 12 month period starting 1st July each year. Mascherano was given dispensation because he played the last game of the South American league before joininh West Ham, and then us in the same 12 month period.

Yes for Quaresma. Hell be a really great signing. Hell certainly be used on the right with babel on the left. Stevie will be pulling in the middle with Alonso when fit just behind him in a defensive role.Hell be great coz he can defent and creat chance too. Up front torres will do the job and liverpool have to break once again the bank for a new record in signing David villa. Imagien torres and villa each trying to impress themselves. OH my god that would be terrific. Defence in central agger and carrager and left aurelio or Heinze if we can sign him now and right either samba from blackbirn or arbeloa or finnan. Reina is terrific. To leave has to be kuyt and voronin. They do work extremenly hard but strikers are here to score not to create and work hard like midfield players. If Drogba did create many chances then chelsea would not have won the league!!!! Pennant also to leave along with sissoko. Masherano will be here to replace alonso and hyppia for his last season must not leave coz we still do have load

in my opinion we need a left midfielder, babel is a striker and, even though i hate to admit it kewell isnt goin to get to far before another long haul injury. apparently weve been interested in a number of midfielders in the past couple of week, but most of them being attacking midfielders. we need to find a gem who not many clubs are looking at, we need someone who plays like arsenals hleb or chelseas malouda, quaresma would be a great addition to the club but will porto be willing to seel him as he is their only player?? it would only be for a big price, a price that rafa or the owners wont be willing to pay!!!
by Balash on November 17, 2007
I´d like to have him in the team, he would offer something that we today dont have. But, the big but is that is that kewell is like a new signing. He should be nr 1 on the left!! He´s really great by take players on an creating chanses for our great strikers. For the sake of babel, he could move on to striker.

AS I was cut off in my prime half way through my last article 'Transfer Rumours Exploding' I will complete it. It looks as though Raffa will have to sell before he can buy in January - hence the headline 'Big Decision for Raffa'. The decision is - does he pay the eighteen millions to retain the services of Javier Mascherano, or use that money to bring in Garay, Quieresma, Heinze etc. It is a decision I am glad I do not have to make as Masch is probably the best holding midfielder in the Prem. But 18 mill is a lot of money for one player, when we have Momo and the emerging Lucas Leiva to do the job. Maybe not as well - but acceptable - if the 'whole' defence is strengthened. That would require a centre back of quality - the verdict is still out on Aurelio at left back! Where the person who claims Reina is a 'world class keeper' is coming from I don't know - although he did make the bench for the game against Sweden. Carson started for England and is only twenty two yoa. With at least five Premiership cl

Goran will be a sensational acquisition to liverpool. as he can play on the left and up front, which rafa wants!. :)

I think we need to sell Hyypia 6m,Kewell 5m and Kuyt 10m because Hyypia is to old he has had a hard season because his lack of pace.Kewell because of his number of injuries and Kuyt because he cant put the ball in the back of the net.Heinze because he can be played anywhere in defence.Mancini because he has pace and skill.A centre half worth 10m at least.Quarsma is a must because he is very young great player and I think Babel has more to offer up front.Darren Bent if Spurs get relegated because he has a ONE million realease caules in his contract if not someone whorth 15m.
by Chegs on November 19, 2007
Carson will represent a nice profit, Riise hasnt played well for about 2 & 1/2 years, Sissoko looks like a badger in the headlights most games (why has he thought that he can play football all of a sudden? His job is to break up attacks and pass the ball no further than 10 yards...) and Crouch is an impact sub at best; he makes the team play ugly and desperately most of the time. If I was Rafa, I would cash in on these players, sign a left back and sign Downing; decent cross, got a good right foot and is easily Boro's best player - him, Babel and Kewell jostling for position would be awesome to watch

Not going to happen. Why would Rafa go and pay millions for Heinze when we missed out on him for free in the summer? I am sick and tired of Crouch's treatment though, he never lets us down and always tries his best. He is very skillfull, holds the ball up well and scores more goals than anyone else in the side. He, behind Torres, is our best striker and to let him go would be a massive mistake.

I think we should sell Gerrard to Real Madrid or Barca for then go For The Argentine Magician, him and Mascherano wil torment the other Premiership teams, just see how they do it in the world cup qualifiers u will be glued to your seats the just the perfect match and also add Estaban Cambiasso from Inter and Lionel Messi from Barca... I think we must mke our Midfield Argentine.....An Gabriel Heinze as well, Im not interested in Quaresma and Mancini
The magician im talking about is ofcoz RIQUELME...I Dont now y Maneul Pellegrini dont want to give the guy a run, Rafa must Capture him before he goes to Everton, Newcastle or Tottenham, who are all in a hurry to get he's signature just imagine him and Mascherano in the same team...I t will be like Argentina versus the premiership..... If you agree with me drop me an e-mail marlow @ nbcei.co.za

Thats honestly one of the stupidest things ive ever heard, why would anyone want pellegrini when gerrard is the best in the world
