Following Chelsea’s reported interest in Reading’s teenage talent James Henry, Spurs boss Juande Ramos is now looking into the credentials of the 18-year-old striker, who is currently on loan at League One strugglers Bournemouth (Daily Mail).

The youngster's stock rose following the televised 1-1 draw  between the Cherries and Hartlepool, in which Henry scored an impressive goal . Still without a start for the Royals but with three goals in as many games for his loan side, he looks to be on his way to London.

It’s good to see Chelsea showing an interest in young British talent but the biggest problem could be that the young lad’s head is turned by such big interest and this could have a negative effect on his career. It may be better for Henry to stay with Reading as he is far more likely to get first-team football at the Madeski. Just look at how fellow young striker Shane Long has blossomed under Steve Coppell.

''I think he will be leaving at the end of the season, I don't think he will leave midway through the season'' - Jussi Jaaskelainen's agent

Apparently Jussi Jaaskelainen is nearing the end of his Bolton career and, according to his agent Peter Harrison, the Finnish goalkeeper is likely to be on his way to pastures new (Setanta). Apparently Arsenal and Tottenham have both expressed an interest.

Harrison said: "There are no talks planned with Bolton and various agents and clubs have been in touch with me from abroad and we will assess it in January. We are very disappointed with the way talks went but we will just have to get on. I think he will be leaving at the end of the season, I don't think he will leave midway through the season."

It has been reported that  defender Ricardo Carvalho is set to leave Chelsea as he struggles to cope with life at Stamford Bridge without mentor Jose Mourinho in charge. Inter Milan have apparently made enquiries about the 29-year-old Portugal international (Gazzetta dello Sport) and it is rumoured that Liverpool's Rafa Benitez is also a big fan (various).

Inter’s deal would apparently involve Argentinian defender Walter Samuel going in the other direction. I think Carvalho would work well at Anfield as they need another centre back and Carvalho is the finished article. What do Reds fans think about this potential move?

Nicolas Anelka’s tenure at the Reebok has already lasted longer than I expected. No offence meant to Gary Megson’s side but the French international, even with all his emotional baggage, is a player who deserves to play for a top-six side. Now it appears that Man City and Chelsea are set to break the bank to get the former Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid striker (The Mirror).

Apparently Anelka's signature will not come cheap with a total package worth £30m needed to prise him away from a Bolton side who want, quite rightly to cash in on their world-class asset. Apparently the ‘Incredible Sulk’ will demand £4m a year wages and is looking for at least a four-year deal. And you can add to that the £15m+ plus needed to pay Wanderers. Is he worth that sort of money? In my opinion, just about.
