He's not some half hearted player who will leave just for a few extra pennies a month, you cut him he bleeds claret and blue, he wont leave unless the club tells him he has to go.
by Dan on November 21, 2007
what a joke of cause he will leave to go to a club going somewhere! what striker wants to play for a draw specialist like villa
by thenry on November 21, 2007
it wont be pennies it will tens of thousands of pounds extra. villa cant compete on the wages level. Arsenal can pay him 60k a week villa cant. now why would anyone who does a job even football turn down money like that? fans have a romantic view of football but in reality every man has to do the best for himself and his family. footballers lives are short they have to make as much as possible. come on gabby stop playing for penuts with the monkies and come down and play and get paid properly at a bigger club.

That story was always bollox. He's only a kid and he's playing for his team, his team are also looking pretty good at the moment so he has no reason to leave.

Agbonlahor will be coming to LFC as part of the Carson deal. Carson 5 million pounds.
by @ lol on November 21, 2007
you think your going to pay him 60k a week? I think you will find that Gabby is on some pretty decent wages. Why would mon give him a new contract even though he still had 4 years left. He knows his quality and repaid him with a new contract. Gabby is getting first team football at a team that is most definitly going somewhere. You forget that although most of your players are money mad there are still some players that value loyalty above money. Sort you life out you tit

Actually villa can pay him 60K a week if they wanted to! However, sad as it would make me. if arsenal did come in for him i dont know whether he would be able to turn down the opportunity!
Seriously money is not what will get him although it would help. Money is what rubbish sides like villa, newcastle offer to keep or get players. He would go to arsenal if they wanted him for success and to play for one of the best managers in the world rather than a bloke who has achieved nothing other than in scotland. Oh and if you say i'm being biased i'm a spurs fan !! seriously you are all deluded if you think he would stay at villa should anyone good show interest.

Fair enough, the Yids have hada shokcing start but Moutinho in "a role that could do wonders for a side who have struggled to create chances for their myriad of striking partners."... I'd like to see him at the lane but we scored over 100 goals in all comps last season... Scoring isn't the problem at the moment!
by MR.I.CAN.READ.A.TABLE on November 21, 2007
In regards to your comment about the scoring ability of the spurs team........ Have you looked at the table in any kind of detail??? Hang on..... Yes that’s right..... Tottenham are joint 2nd for goals scored (That’s the column that says "FOR" or just "F") It’s the column that says "A" or "Against" (which means goals conceded), that we have the problem....We are 3rd worst.... TOP 2 for goals scored BOTTOM 3 for goals against Can you guess what my next point will be????? What we need is an organised back 4 that don't defend like a Sunday league side. If we achieve that, AS WELL AS keeping up our current EXCELLENT goals "FOR" record, then we will be just fine.... A left winger is needed for more balance, NOT more goals..... I love all the rumour stuff, I like all the banter, I love to speculate and debate as much as anyone.....but if you are going to try and add any factual twist or detail....PLEASE GET IT RIGHT....
by Nick on November 21, 2007
You what? We've scored more goals than anyone out the top 4 (the same amount as four 4-goal-hauls-in-a-row Man Utd) yet we're languishing in 14th. We could do with Moutinho granted, but it's the defence that's the root cause of this debacle of a season. Also, anyone who harbours ideas of signing the 'Beast' can stick them up their Arsenal. He's fat, overpaid, lazy, a GOONER, and most of all, incredibly shit. No thanks. I'd rather bring back Ghaly.

Any player with an appetite to succeed will always desire a move to a bigger more successful club, If they didn't have that desire then they wouldn't be worth having in any side, It's what sets good players aside from average, VILLA MORRON.

Even with Randy's money, Villa will never sign the required quality of player as your club is about as glamourous as my in-growing toe nail.....
No not all but most do. You will struggle to name 10 player who were good enough for the top 6 teams who didn't move! Get with reality of cause i would like to see players stay with the clubs they support but they don't like all sport people they live off success and trophys.

What is it with these Middlesex melts? Much bigger then Villa? Do me a favour. Historically and since the premiership started in the early 90's they have done far more then your mob so a little respect to be shown please plebs. As for Gab Aboganonononona he is good but would wenger pay 15m for someone who is still a little wet behind the ears? Not so sure. Hopefully what he says is true and doesnt turn into a turcoat like Rooney or Sol Campbell lol!!!!!! 1961 Oh Dear

Aside from teh aforementioned comment regarding this particular pile of turd for a site, may I suggest that we do not involve ourselves in petty insults with any other fans with the exception of teh following teams - Dial Square - Now known as the A R S E - Manure USA - who as we know try to tap up our players by Ferguie uysing undrhand tactics by telling Carrick to talk to the papers about Berba - Chelski - coz their stadium is full of pikeys - and West Ham - bcoz the intelligence levels of their fan base are on par with rabbit droppings. Testament to this was the fact that I sdhould by family ties be a west ham fan --- Haha. We'll be borrowing their ground soon (rather take the immigrants personally) but the irony oof that place already feeling liek a home ground as we always beat the oppostion in their own back yard. (well that is unless we've had lasagne for dinner!)

you spurs fans should be concentrating more on ur own over-rated players where are u in the league urselfs wot aload of crap we seemed to give u a good game at ur own ground ha ha the only thing spurs have got is a good strike force the rest of the team is shit and hopefully ur best player will leave for a better team like arsenal

Where on earth are you privy to how much clubs have to spend. Part of the fun of transfer windows is the fans expressing through sites like this and chat shows as well. Remember newspaper hacks are supporters as well.Transfer tittle tattle may not come off but it beats reading about England from those bleeding hearts who are quoting Henry v and singing Jerusalem yes you guessed Adrian Durham AKA Po of the tellytubies(do not remember seeing this turd after the invite from Mr Carragher to come up to Liverpool )
