Managers are given too little time to make the kind of impact that Fergie has made at Utd. It just doesn't happen. And now theres talk of Benitez leaving Anfield cos the Americans are focusing on the money rather than the football / club / fans. Benitez can't be allowed to go, LFC are better than they have been since 1990 and the league championship is on the horizon. Chairmaen - Be Patient

Rafa is the best Manager we have had since Sir Bob (Sorry, King Kenny!) - he is miles ahead of Moaning Mourinho, I would be livid if the Americans thought they could replace Rafa with him. The Americans know little about football, and apart from the "Franchise" rubbish, I think they have done reasonably well, but this needs to stop here and we need to back Rafa and the Team. We are in contention in the League, unbeaten, and playing well. Europe has been a slog, but Rafa's record in that is unsurpassed by any manager in the Prem. Give him the Dosh and lets Walk On!!! YNWA

hicks just does not know what he is doing, how can you run a club by fax.there should be someone there at all times who rafa can talk to, parry is a waste of space because he is scared to lose his job.no i am for rafa , he is right they have made poromises they have not yet kept most of the money they spent was the clubs anyway. maybey they shold all do us a favor and sell to DIC. RAFA MUST STAY....

Rafa doesn't deserve to be sacked, Yet, what I would like to see is a limit to foreign players put on each team and I feel only then would we see if Rafa is as good as we all think as what he has done has brought lots of Spanish/European footballers in yet, wheres Liverpools home grown talent gone? They used to push some good local boys through all the time!!!

Rafa Benitez is the best Liverpool manager since Bob Paisley. If he is allowed license to do so the club will prosper under his stewardship - anything is possible. As manager or coach or whatever you wish to call him he must be allowed to make his own decisions on his playing staff and he must be given the budget to do so.
by niel on November 27, 2007
THERE IS NO WAY JOSE CAN BE ALLOWED TO TAKE OVER FROM RAFA. RAFA HAS TURNED OUR TEAM AROUND AND MADE OUR SQUAD ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD,ALTHOUGH HE HASNT ENJOYED THE SAME AMOUNT OF GLORY THAT SIR BOB HAD BUT GIVEN TIME HE WILL BE IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS SIR BOB 'IN RAFA I TRUST'

He is a very good manager and just because the owner (that we dont really know) are telling Rafa what to do doesnt mean he is a bad manager all of a sudden
by Craig on November 27, 2007
Rafa put himself in this situation. Not because of his attack on his bosses, but because he clearly is wasting the resources given him. Let's not be too quick to drape the mantle of genius on this fraud. Without an unlikely comeback in Istanbul, and a Steven Gerrard wondergoal in the FA Cup Final, Liverpool would have nothing to show for their investment. After a summer of more big spending, Rafa's obsession with his rotation policy had turned the Title race into another uphill grind. Genius? I think not, get rid of him and let's move on.

How can any one think that sacking the Boss would be a good thing. The team is heading in the right direction, NO matter wot the papers say to make use think otherwise. £4m is nothing in todays tranfers mark but no point in crying about it now. Jose should not be allowed to step foot into Anfield, let alone be named as the new boss. I have FAITH in Rafa and so should the board and the fans who are calling for his head. LFC for life.

Support Rafa - the man won us a Champion League, FA Cup & Super Cup all in a short 3 years. And, dont forget we were in last year's final! Also, we havent even lose a game in the EPL this season. The person to be sacked is Rick Parry - he isnt doing his work getting us the players for the future!

the fledgling american dollar on world markets cant help. nor can the blowout in cots re new anfield. why is it that stadiums are becoming so hard to build within the original time and cost budgets. a reds team led by that scum of a chelsea manager who so wildly inflamed the KOP with his shaninigans just cant happen. there would be a revolt.id be spending on Quaresma though not Kaladze - hes 29 already and we could just about get in someone on a free (ask youself would wenger pay that for a covering player?)...

by Docker on November 27, 2007
i think we would loose so much and gain very little in changing things now ... where would man utd be now with out arguments ans no small dose of patience when fergie was at the stage rafa is at now. Glory is around the corner..... dont slam the door on it

I think the Americans must improve the way they want to run LFC. if they think they bought a club to play with or to raise their echoes and increase their financial muscles, then they are mistaken to think they can sit in their cool offices or on their Golf field and run the club from their tea rooms, they surely made a big mistake. I mean, they soon after take said to have the best coach who has a bussines mind and who they will only support!!! And now when the same Manager come up with his plan to continue the re-building process they feel they can not be told what to do and when to do what!!But how could you live across they see, run a club that has so much attention and expect to come at your time, decide on your terms when you have put some one you said he knows what he does but still you want to kow better. I think the Americans have no clu at all!!!!!!!!! Money is good but surely not everything!!! LFC is MUCH BIGGER than that!!!! So Cheap in or out to the Americans!!!

Honestly, I have no clue as to what's happening at the club today. The recent speculations about the manager serious would worry any true Liverpool Fan. Clearly this is a power struggle between two bodies as reported by the media. What escapes me is of course why do we sink along with this foolish reports. The press clearly needs spicy stories to sell their product , this story of power struggle would definitely sell greatly during the winter. As Liverpool fan , I am not interested in this power struggle because our passion for the club is what makes Liverpool FC today. I have utmost faith in Mr. Benitez because he shares the similar passion that everyone of us share.Having said this, the owners themselves do share this passion or else they would not have bought the club. Thus, they would not sack or disagree with each other as because all of us are brought together by the passion of football(Liverpool FC) I'm calling to all the fans out there, let's end this by stopping to make a big deal of this nonse
by talebmansoor on November 27, 2007
I think he wants to be there. He loves Liverpool and loves the passion of the club. Coming from Spain, with a different mentality where the fans are very different, the boardroom is very different, I think he really likes English football.GOD BLESS U RAFA

Support Rafa - the manager who knows what he is doing! LFC is now playing the best kind of football, we havent lost a single match in the EPL, being in the finals of last year's Champion League, winner 2 years ago and Super Cup winner & FA Cup. This type of manager must be supported all the way! Sack Rick Parry instead, he isnt doing his job!GOD BLESS U RAFA
