1) The five players you’d buy (money no object, of course! And just put down two or three, if that's all you think Celtic need): a) Maldini b) Berbatov c) Zambrotta d) Gattuso - controversial I know but imagine a centre mid of him and Brown? e) Abidal *tempted to throw Deco in there as well! 2) The five you would sell: a) Balde b) Riordan c) Zurawski d) Gravesen e) If he doesn't get stronger, faster and more accomplished at putting the ball in the back of the net... JVOH

5 to go OUT is pretty simple. Balde, Riordan, Virgo, Gravesen and Zurawski. 5 to come in is difficult: 1) Henrik Larsson (loan). 2) Dorin Goian 3) Grzegorz Bronowicki 4) Mladen Petrić 5) Shaun Maloney
by Mike on December 03, 2007
I would definately say we need some strong defenders like P.Lahm and fabio cannavaro... imagine if we had those too legends... Also I think we should buy J.Mcfadden! What a european campaign that lad has had!

Cannot believe nobody has said Evander Sno for the off. Hes absolutely brutal. Why as someone suggested would you offload Hartley before Sno is beyond me. In: a strong midfield to assist Brown and good solid central defender with pace to help McManus. Out: Sno Jarosik Magic Bobo JVOH.
by Eamon on December 05, 2007
I trust Gord to bring in 2 x tall, fast and experienced full backs; Robbie Keane and Maloney and maybe Torres. Out would be: Balde; Virgo; Riordan; Gravesen and JVOH. The money is there - is the desire? I think YES!
by Johnny on December 06, 2007
IN: 1. Derek Riordan (excellent striker not given a look-in), 2. Bobo Balde (excellent defender not given a look-in), 3. Sean Maloney (was it really worth losing him for 3 grand a week extra?), 4. Stan Petrov (bring the lhad back home where he bhelongs), 5. Should say Henke but don't want to ruin 'perfect memory' so go with Teddy Bjarnasson (excellent midfielder not given a look-in) The Blessed St Martin O'Neill as new manager. OUT: 1. JVoH (not fast enough and not prolific enough plus too many injuries), 2. Chris Killen (not fast enough and not enough presence), 3. Thomas Gravesen (headless chicken despite cult status), 4. Adam Virgo (not celtic class), 5. Jiri Jarosik (headless chicken despite couple of recent improved performances.

OOT: 1 Sno - too slow, off pace & utter mince 2 Jarosik - a couple of half-decent games does not turn him into a star 3 JVOH - utter donkey, what happened to the player we saw for his first few weeks in Glasgow??? 4 Adam Virgo - the new Roy Aitken???? More like the new Dave McPherson 5 Nakamura - doesn't do enough in a game & someone may be daft enough to pay megabucks for him meaning we can buy in a few new players in the necessary positions IN: 1 McFadden 2 Naysmith 3 Larsson (loan deal) 4 O'Connor 5 Someone who can play both right & left back as I can't think of anyone right now!!!!

Naysmith ?? please you must be joking, larsson back no thank you, risk jepordising the 7 wonderful years he gave us and o'connor lolol i dont think so. Mcfadden would be an expensive option when we could resign maloney
