This website with all the ridiculous claims and speculation is the Sunday sport of football websites.
Mate, this is a round-up of ridiculous speculation, that is the point of the regular rumours round-up that Mark puts out, He says what he thinks of these rubbish rumours and gives us a platform to discuss which ones are bogus and which ones might just happen, i guess that's point, i enjoy Reading them! Thanks Mark

I think Farfan might be a good investment, maybe not at that price though.Although we already have decent striker cover from Eduardo and Bendtner
by mike on December 02, 2007
Johnson is just as good as crouch and much more potential im sure sven can see that so im very sure it will not happen and thaksin has enough money to buy him without swapping one of our potential stars something ive heard around now though is that sven is using crouch as a smokescreen so that he can purchase a world class striker (which a manager who is as good as sven can)
by Nozzy on December 02, 2007
The problem there is that we dont really need to sell Crouchy. Rafa's a wiley old buggar, he'll say 'Fine you can have Crouchy, but you give us Johnson or you dont get him, end of'. Crouchy doesnt want to leave, so I'd guess Rafa would make it give us Johnson or we dont even negotiate.

ha ha ha...is someone having a larf
by nordenblue on December 02, 2007
you must be having a laugh, there is not a chance that city will let johnson go to anybody.when january comes sven will be after a world class striker bankrolled by thaksin's fortune, crouch doesn't even come into that category.

A couple of weeks ago I heard that Diaby and Denilson are heading off to white hart lane. Now it's Diarra. My guess is that Arsenal are going to dispose of Fabregas, Denilson, Diaby, Diarra, Gilberto, Rosicky, Hleb and Flamini. They will all obviously go to Tottenham as they are clearly a better side than Arsenal. Despite the fact that Arsenal would be left without a midfield, they would still have Song and Senderos, who are very capable of playing anywhere on the field.

I agree totally with Rob 'teeth nashing' Grrres - your views are even more blinkered than mine was today.Tip - go out and get a life and don't believe what you raed in the papers !!!

We maybe 16th in the table, we we unbeaten in November, We may have lost to Birmingham by sheer luck, but we can still get 5th place, Santa Claus will bring us the Glory we need, and we will be unstoppable. Get ready for January Top Four, Your reign is coming to an end?
by mighty reds machine on December 03, 2007
Man city do not deserve crouchy, citeh is a midtable club at best, and all they need is a few thai trannies and pimps, then you are going places
by Weller on December 03, 2007
Mmmmmm let me think.......Man City or Liverpool.....wonder what the most attractive prospect for a young star is? Richards and Johnson will not be with you long term lads....get real. Both will eventually want exposure to European football and the real big clubs will be waiting in the wings. You city Boys are hilarious.....win a few games and you're worldbeaters. As for the comment on Sven being able to bring in a world Class striker......Bianchi looks the part!!! arghhahahahahaha
by UnWeller on December 03, 2007
Man City or Liverpool...? If I was a young player I would want to play as much football as possible, which would point to Man City, as Rafa still doesn't seem to know who his best 11 is, and seems intent on rotating like there's no tomorrow... City have great potential now, and are unrecognisable, in terms of quality from last year...and represent a very good option for young players, seeing as they have shown that they are more than willing to give fresh talent a go... and finally... well done for finally finding yourselves above City in the table, and into that Top Four that you are supposedly an established member of... ...and, without Torres and Gerrard, Liverpool are average, at best.
I agree you are hardly recognisable in comparison to last year or previous seasons.....but that would hardly be difficult would it? Ok I agree, you are a feeder club to the big four. We'll take him when he's improved his game a bit....maybe next year. Thanks for the congratulations on being above city. No big deal.....really. I liked the part about without Gerrard and Torres we would be average at best. Fortunately we do have those players....I could extend that to every other team that has won the premiership in the last ten years.......drogba abd terry for chelsea or Giggs and Ronaldo for United.....that's just the way it is. Bianchi looks good though...... maybe Sven will sign a few more lads from watching video clips in January.
by Manish on December 03, 2007
"seems intent on rotating like there's no tomorrow.." isn't that an oxymoron. cause rafa does that keeping in mind of the games to be played. And thanks for including torres in the "two man team" clause. we were getting bored of the one man team tag. And btw isn't it just similar to something like manu, without rooney and ronaldo, loses to bolton or without lampard and drogba, chelsea is just as good as rosenborg. Arsenal are the only team that is coping well without fabregas and some others and thats why they are 6 points ahead.
by Wellend on December 03, 2007
Not much point claiming similarities with the other teams who have won the prem in the last 10 years, as you don't even nearly fit into that category, 1990 is a long time ago, especially for a Top Four team...unfortunately, the final standings in the league reflects performance over a whole season, illustrating the fact that you have not been worthy of the title for many years...and before you start asking when City last won the title, yes, it was longer than that, but we dont bang on about how 'this year will be our year'...like some others...
Another Poor retort from a bitter fan of a small feeder club. We were busy in Europe for a while and before that had always struggled financially to compete with United and more recently Chelsea. We Finally have a world class Manager who can take us places. I never ever thought we had a chance of winning the league in recent years under the likes of Houllier and Evans so as for us "banging on about it" does not apply to me or many other fans. Jump on the rotation bandwagon if you like but the facts speak for themsleves as you so clearly put it. 3rd ini the league with a game in hand over second and unbeaten to date. The best defesive record this year (again) and only Arsenal can compete in terms of goals scored. Oh dear....rafa's rotation oesn't seem so crazy after all!!! The guy is the only manager in the modern era to have won the league beating Barca and Real to the title TWICE. 2 Champs league finals in 3 years in charge and finally a squad to challenge. Jump on the London press bandwagon...
by DuraBlue on December 03, 2007
@Weller: Rafa is a very good manager, and Liverpool are already doing much better than they have for years, and they are unfortunate that Arsenal are also on form this season... ...but to pass the resurgent Man City off as a feeder club is just a sign of the sort of arrogance that is often associated with Liverpool fans, i.e. they always seem to think that they deserve to win something, as they have been good historically...at least have the good grace to admit that City are vastly improved, and are proving to be the suprise package of the season.
by Doncolino on December 03, 2007
why do we need stephen carr we already have a pretty good right back in neill. plus someone like spector can cover there. i think carr's past it. lets face it he hasnt had he best of seasons for the toon, what will he add to West Ham?
by Dave on December 03, 2007
We're not getting stephen carr ffs,its just the usual crap coming from the floater of a paper the news of the world
by Joseph on December 03, 2007
Claiming Carr still has something to offer is the most ludicrouse thing in the entire article!! Mind you, look at how many Newcastle(and Tottenham)rejects West Ham currently have in their squad...would'nt be suprised to see it happen.
by Danny on December 04, 2007
I would really like to see Farfan in Arsenal, really good player, speed and technique.
