I will be happy to finish in the top half. A CL spot or a UEFA spot would be a dream come true. However, City are truly unpredictable so lets no get too carried away...... Just yet! CTID.

Don't agree with sentiment of article's author - as sven said the 'top 4' have the best 4 squads in the prem and certainly better than City's. But only top half from 'Bluechester' sounds a mite pessimistic. Before the opener at West Ham i thought top half, maybe 9th. But would now be disappointed if we didn't get top 7 which i believe gets into UEFA, which is something concrete to aim for in the league. (Owen and the others aren't coming. Allardyce has said City aren't interested in him, and hasn't Riquelme gone to Boca Juniors? The Castillo loan sounds more realistic given City bid on him in the summer, and if another striker were to come also i'd say it would be Anelka)

Like the article. The Prem still doesn't take us seriously and won't until we shock them. Names are a bit wide of the mark. Castillo done deal I hear and likes of Owen and Crouch non starters. Riquelme has gone although we were in for him at one point. Doubt if Anelka will make it back to Eastlands cos Chelski will outbid us.

Why shouldn't city be considered with the top 4? Who says that you have to play always attractive football? Inter Milan won the Champions cup last year, are contesting the world champions crown yet are lying in 10th position in the league and playing lousy football. They produce were it matters. With a couple of acquisitions in the right positions (and Sven knows were i am sure) City can fight for a top 4 position.

Well, reading the replies I see we have a few Reds that can write, there's progress for you. Sorry Reds but we will be in the top 7, where is anyone's guess. Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea will be there, so too I reckon will be Everton. That's 4. Spurs on on the up, there's 5, Liverpool even playing dodgy football will be top 7, so 6 places gone, not in that order, and City will make up the top 7. Take away Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U as definate top 3, the rest will fight it out. keep going City !

Why not. forget rivalry for the moment, coz i cant stand your team, but if i was looking at you as a villa fan or westham fan i would say why not, you keep doing what you are doing at home and win a third of your way games that would put you around the 75 point mark roughly that should get you there, with all the presure to win something rafa will soon switch his attention (again) to the champions league as there best chance to win something, rotation will start again, dropping players to get past the tough teams in champs league, i say you have a great chance, and YES I AM BEING SERIOUS. now back to being a united suporter mancal, mate dont rise to it, especially considering what your club has achieved in its history and what we have, you will just turn this in to a petty arguement between man u fans and man city, dont be immature and allow this article to be taken in its proper context,

Everton qualified a few years ago, the only reason no one thinks it can happen is that no one has got the ar** to say it might happen, who knows. Who would of thought they would be in fourth now???? people who didnt do their homework on Ericsson, thats who.

Just glad to be really enjoyin a season....so enjoy each game as it comes...sort out Spurs midweek and correct our away form against against Villa would set up a perfect BLUE XMAS !!
by Staffan on December 16, 2007
We simply have got the lads and the manager to make it mark my words. We will keep on winning at home and the away form will improve. If we dont buy new players young ones from the academy will take part. We have the best academy in England!!!

Because we will be lucky to get 2 points from our next 3 fixtures. That's why. We're not ready yet.

Utd fans just make me laugh more & more each & every day, so stuck up, nieve & pityful, babbling on about rivalry aside & alll that but still managing to slap a few digs in, i call that contradictive to thier first remark dont you. Tbh i couldnt give to hoots what a Rag fan i.e. Stretford Utd fan has to say as all the have to say isnt even worth the dustbin rotting at the bottom of thier garden, yes they actually use thier laundry baskets for dustbins & dustbins for laundry baskets, on a serious note, they are just running scared & talking baby talk "ba ba boo boo" which is kinda hard to grasp, id say go back to school but they probably never even attended in the first place, they no it, i know it, we all know it, City have just as much chance as the rest of them & they just cant accept being knocked down a peg or 2. WE Have more of a chance than you, weve won 4 games away this season, unbeaten in 12

....dont they, moses didnt have a secret 11th commandment from god that said the current so called "top 4" would always be there - city can do it, maybe need just a bit of luck thats all........castillo is absolute quality, previously turned down moves to united and juventus, bojinov, who ive seen play live in turin where i used to live, for juve, is a real real danger man - just wait and see, he will be worth the wait. plus bianchi is looking the genuine class act, touch, technique etc, that anyone who saw serie A last season knew he was. in italy we called him rolandinhio for gods sake....i actually think sven is clever enough to have kept him hungry and now let him loose during the secound half of season to push us on......the key is ericksons connectioons and people skills with the players - we are lucky to have him....
