Berbatov and Keane, Defoe and Berbatov, Keane and Defoe: Which Spurs pairing is best?

its got to be keane and berba, berba doesnt like playing with dafoe. you could tell that because he had no feeling towards him after his second goal against reading. thats why dafoe dont get a look in

defoe is too selfish - Berbatov & Keane play as a team whereas Defoe plays for himself first and Spurs second. If you watch Keane he has learned a lot from Berbatov and has picked up a lot of skills and tricks - Defoe is the same as he was a couple of years ago - a selfish poacher!

Well... I am from Bulgaria and I know how Berbo plays when there are players around him like:Martin Petrov ,Bernd Schneider,Ze Roberto or Ballack,but right now I think that in Tottenham he is kind of "lonely".Well,Aaron Lennon,Robbie Keane or Defoe are not weak players,but I also thit that they are diffrent class.And Tottenham Hotspurs FANS,I know how much you want Berba to stay,but he is almost 27 years old and he is ready to move on,couse in Bulgaria or Germany he didn't won anything.He wants TROPHEY's And Spurs isn't just the right place for that

Keane is a big selfish whinger. We need a foward to play alongside/off Berba, which at the moment is Defoe. Keane is always wandering all over the pitch. I was at the Arsenal game and all Berba's layoffs went to Arsenal as Keane was off on a wander. With K&B no-one is in the box when they're out looking for the ball.

Berbatov's intelligence is really something special. Keane understands part of it and at least tries to match Berbatov's vision of the game. Defoe is selfish because he does not have other options. He is a good finisher and that's all. He puts his head on to the ball and runs. He is not able to see and understand what is going on around him, he is simple minded striker who can not pass the ball even in the simplest way , he is consumer who plays with all his heart but can not provide for the other strikers because of e way he is. Berba and Keane are my pair wthout question.

Whoever wrote this is a total muppet (worst than crap)... I am the best striker in the league in 2007, 29 goals in 39 games... stick with your lawn bowl comments muppet...don't comment on football.

There is no doubt that Berbatov is simply one of the greatest players to ever be at Spurs. I think one issue for which he gets criticised is that he does not engage in the silly antics that some players do when they score. That is then read as lack of team commitment, or not liking his fellow players, etc. I think there is a tendency to underestimate his intelligence and sense of himself that makes him more composed than a lot of far less talented players, but this intelligence and awareness is also an element in his greatness. There is no doubt he can play with either Keane or Defoe. They are very different players. Keane can, and does, drift out of games but is also capable of great touches and awareness. Defoe is always potentially dangerous and may do nothing for 80 minutes then conjure up a magic moment from nothing. I thought that when Defoe came on against Reading he looked very dangerous and brought pace and diectness to the attack that had drited somewhat after the first 10 minutes. So which pairin

There is no doubt which is the best pair in the mighty Spurs. Keane though he can wander, can (a) run very quickly and for long period of times, (b) create alot of offense, (c) score great goals, (d) knows where to position himself in the box, (e) can take pk's. Defoe is good but he cant create the same offense that keane can. I hope Berbatov stays because i think he had made keane a better player and defoe doesn't work well with keane, but berbatov is getting old and I can understand his desire to win trophies.

berbs and defoe. my theory has always relies on the captaincy. due to led out..the skippers like robbie for his leadership and naturally saw him as the starter...

I have never seen so stupid comment about Spurs players. Keane has been a key figure for this team for 3 years now! Berba is even better but only when he has THE DAY. Keane has always shown respect for managers and the club by his gestures and by re-signing a long term contract. Keane is one we need, Berba would be great, other than that... don't know. It can be even guys from the reserves (not so weak and bad players nowadays) who can substitute. If Defoe wants to stay, he is more than welcome. But only if he can accept being 3rd striker. every player has bad and good days,the difference is that when berba doesn't have a good day,makes the passes for Keane to mark...each bad day of Berba is 80 % of the goals made by spurs

On a good day, he's OK......on a bad day he's a bloody nuisance, disruptive and costly as he's a tendency to give the ball in midfield. I know he scores goals, but I feel Defoe offers a better partnership with Berbatov given the chance. It'll be great if all three could be happy at Spurs, but strikers have ego's to massage and no doubt the purchase of Bent was to offset the sale of Berba in the summer, but it didnt happen, so lets get shot of him (Bent) to whoever thinks he's worth the silly money we paid for him, and invest it a solid, reliable defensive midfielder and defender, which we've needed for two seasons.

Berbatov & Defoe is our best partnership JD works very hard and is not as selfish as keane who at times unbalances the team, he always goes goalside of defenders and complains too much when he doesnt get the perfect ball, he is too much of an individual, JD is much more of a team player, if the keane lovers looked at videos of games played they would be able to see his faults, but all they see is the goals he has scored, he tries the same tricks time & time again and they are not coming off now. JD deserves a starting place at least for 4/5 games

I realy think we can play with the 3 of them in the team! 3-4-3 formation Defoe, berbatov and keane.

He needs to show he is capable of that aswell. thats why most times when he comes off the bench he will shoot 9/10 chances he gets because he wants to prove him self to the coachs to play him more. You saying he is a selfish poacher is just stupid.
