So if all is to be believed (yeah right) we (spurs) will end up having a whole team of strikers..all these linked with..our team would look like this! Robbo - cisse - dos santos - Elmander - crouch benzema - villa - bent - Defoe keane - berbatov what do you think!!!! Some of these rumours really are terrible!

Spurs, 100m, where do you come up with this tripe...?
by Robbo on January 07, 2008
I've seen that Giovanni play and although he's not exactly what we need at the lane he's a great talent and would definitely be a huge asset. Get him over here Ramos!! There was no mention of Spurs possibly getting Van Der Vaart? Apparently he's putting off signing a new contract and we are interested in him and he'd be ideal in our midfield and then we just need to plug the holes at the back.

Liverpool will have first option on him anyway because Ashanti Gold are their African Feeder Club, so it is Real Madrid who will have to do the beating, a Cafu-like right back sounds interesting!

ENIC need to put their own personal business on hold and concentrate on buying players that can benefit the squad as follows: David James, Jens Lehman, Cudacini, Ben Haim, Alan Hutton, geezer who scored against us in 2-2 draw

Judging on recent performances, Liverpool are the ones who need a striker or two.Unfortunately Crouch can't get a game no matter how good he plays, so he maybe off to gauranteed first team footy. Kuyt has been absolutely awful this season which is a shame as he showed so much potential last season, Voronin looked a bargain but has faded big time, which leaves the immense talent of Torres. Although Babel is actually a striker, so god only knows why they keep playing him on the wing....David Villa with Torres would be something else...

van der vaart will come to spurs as will vincent kompany

"but in the summer I predict Giovani will be wearing a Premier League shirt of some description." You can forget about Giovani leaving Barcelona. He's a youth product from the academy. It's that scumbag of an agent Pini Zahavi who tout him around just to get a huge contract with Barcelona. Forget about Giovani, now way Laporta will let him go!

Camel with the Hump- JENS LEHMANN= you cant be a Spurs fan. We need quality players not £8 mill for ben haim, Not Cisse, Not Elmander. Dos Santos, Zambrotta, Bruno Alves from Porto would be good and id take Angulo from Valencia if available.
by IsraGooner on January 07, 2008
They seem to be out there for anyone slightly available... Their squad is HUGE, it's bigger than most teams, including top sides like Arsenal. And the sums of money they're willing to spend, my god! OK, You have the money to compete in the transfer market, alongside the big boys, but don't think you're THAT attractive to big players. Even with Ramos.

100 million? Spurs? ROFL. LMFAO.
this guy = obviously spurs fan (potential of DARREN BENT) lol what potential??? i am so glad benitez did not go for 16m bent in summer and spent on torres instead. otherwise we'd be in bigger trouble. as much as people diss benitez, he is brilliant: did not sign bent, did sign torres for a price that everyone thought he would flop (where are thos people now??? wat is it 16 goals in 19 appearances??), pulled out a gem when he bought alonso for 10m, agger 5m, whatever ppl may say bout him, he is a quality manager. i mean 2 cl finals in 3 yrs aint bad considering he did not have as good playas as man u and chelski and arsenal. (Baros, smicer, traore...)

What is pathetic is that you read this article but still cant seem to grasp what it says. Spurs havent bid for any of the players listed, like Mark ( author ) said its all tabloid conjecture and rumour for fools like you to bite on.
100 million? Spurs? ROFL. LMFAO.
Whoosh! You appear to have missed the point. The author wasn't trying to claim that Spurs had £100 million to spend. He was, instead, having a laugh at the ridiculous tabloid press and their laughable rumours.

Lets not go blowing £8mil on ben haim , Elmander or Cisse. Think about some good signings! Berbatov is adamant he won't go which is a positive, keane has been pretty damn elite this season so far and Defoe (the supersub!) has taken every oppertunity he's had so we don't need any strikers. and right now i'd say we'd need to strengthen our defence and get a good covering midfielder. Zokora will be gone for a few months and despite the fact Huddlestone is an ace player he still has a lot to learn. Maniche, out of favor at Athletico Madrid, 4mil bargain! Hutton would be a pretty good deal as well if we can get him for less than 6mil, and there was a player when we played Getafe in the UEFA cup, Frank Signorino reported to be very unsettled there, personally for 2 mil, former french U21 LEFT BACK its worth it. And if we want a good-commanding centre back...tomas ujafalusi, even though he may be getting on a bit he still has interational experience and can play right or centre back!! Still though Dawson and Kin

Arsenal stands for: Anti Recruiting Society of English Nationality Any Longer!
this guy = obviously spurs fan (potential of DARREN BENT) lol what potential???
Bent was the third highest scoring player in Premier League over the past two seasons combined - behind Thierry Henry and Didier Drogba. No shame in that. He's only 23 and will prove to be a good signing for Spurs once he is free from injury and gets a run in the team. Thus far, unlike Torres, Bent hasn't been given a run in the team. That's because Spurs do have one or two other rather decent strikers and not because Bent has been a failure.

come on lads dont be silly. darren bent is average at best as was cisse so theres no argument there. first off, gio dos santos would walk into any club in the world because of how brilliant the boy is so theres not much hope of getting him and no chance of barca realistically letting him go, unless they were offered sick amounts of money. david villa could join ac milan, inter milan, real madrid, barcelona, man united, liverpool, chelsea, arsenal, bayern, schalke, rangers, celtic... shall i continue? we cant compete with these clubs in terms of attractiveness so we wont be signing villa, i dont mean to be a pesamistic spurs fan but be realistic. this is y so many other clubs hate us, because were not realistic! we do need to sign some top class players but attracting them is the hard part and we cant even do it how chelsea did by offering stupid wages to con players into joining because we wont break our pay-scale for any1 and i dont think villa will join us and be happy earning £60,000 pw when he could go 2

Surley we`d just be wasting money on the likes of dos santos and Karim Benzema whenwe have adel taarbat surley we shouldbe spending the money on proven premiership players and i dont mean cisse he couldnt do it at liverpool so y woulde we want him .
