Michael Carrick? No. Wes Brown? Sure. Cheap, reliable, young but with experience. Fredi Kanoute? Scored some crackers but ultimately not good enough. No thanks. Alan Hutton? Not seen a lot of him apart from the two games people rave about. He doesn't want to come, so no. Guti? Every transfer window. He won't come, nor do I think he justifies high wages. No thanks. Deco? I assume this is a supposedly realistic 'wishlist' so he wouldn't think about going to Spurs. So no again. Andrey Arshavin? No. Riquelme? Joined Boca being paid nothing INSTEAD of coming to us. He's happy in Argentina, so not happening. Gareth Barry? Finally. Yes, I'd love to see Gareth join but Villa don't need the money, nor do I think he'd want to leave at the moment, so non-starter under Villa slide. Daniel Alves? Seville HATE us. He was priced out of a move to CHELSEA. He isn't coming. If we're reverting to wing-backs in the future he'd be ideal, of course, but never in a million years is this happening. So

To be fair neil, the article does quite clearly state that the list has been made from the poll a few weeks ago about Spurs fan's most wanted. So really, you're asking, why do Spurs fans want to buy back players they have already sold. It's not like the author randomly made it up.

Van der Vaart of Hamburg

i was thinking a totally different list than that! I know we have a bad defence but why the hell would we want Wes Brown!! O and Deco will sign for us wont he and riquelme said he was flattered that spurs wanted him but he wanted to go home!? so why would we try and get him after that? :S

Did you write this during playtime?
by SPURS4EVER on January 10, 2008
Just waiting for the dirty, filthy, south london rejected, retarded, mini cab mugging Arsenal scum to put their penny worth in.
by Phil on January 10, 2008
I think the most worrying thing on the list is that there is only one central defender, and even Brown is arguably utility given that he also plays RB. CB is a major gap that needs filling for the mighty Spurs........although I'd love to have Alves bombing down the right, and Barry sat infront of the back four. Zzzzzzzzzz

shouldn't that be 23 hahaha, I love our kids they better than yours, that Gilberto looks a good prospect, one for the future. Come on Man U .....oops I mean Chelsea, no Liverpool, no Arseanal
by michael kenneth hodgson on January 10, 2008
I would advice him to order his squad to keep on playing like that against ARSENAL, FROM NOW AND THE END OF THE SEASON. My List. 10: Sol Campbell (Lets see what he can do) 9: Mellberg 8: Emanuelson (Sure to come now) 7: Thierry Henry 6: Martin Petrov 5: Jarque 4: Katsarounis 3: FRED 2: Stuart Downing 1: Timo Hildebrande

We should sign Kaka he'd be awesome and unsettled at milan, he's underrated better than malbranque and lennon as well probably

not a single goalkeeper in that list. I would think that the main priority right now would be replacing paul robinson. maybe palop from sevilla would be a good option or maybe jaaskeleinen (spelling).
by Tom on January 10, 2008
That did make me laugh, thats assuming your joking!

This site is a complete waste of time......I've never read anything useful, truthful, intelligent or insightful on it. It's a measure of how bored I am that I've followed a link to it and actually posted a message today. Stay away ...nothing to be gained from coming here.
agree with jb drenthe is ok
by Keiran on January 10, 2008
The best player we could sign at the moment is Diego. What we need, creativity in midfield
by WilsonSPur on January 10, 2008
Kanoute is the exact same player he was whe at Spurs it's just a lot easier to score in Spain. Many PL strikers have gone to La Liga and proved to be a hit but how many have done vise versa? Morientes? Who?
by Berbatov on January 10, 2008
Wes Brown??? Why don`t we just buy Roar Strand??
by laz on January 10, 2008
