I believe Defoe has no intentions of leaving london, he wouldnt get into either the Man Utd or the liverpool team and has no intention of moving up north to play for any other team. talk about downings strengths and weaknesses. he is claimed to be a good crosser of the ball- strenght, however whenever i have seen him he can hardly lift the ball off the ground and when he does its not into the danger area and easy to defend. he seems to get isolated out on the wing, rarely comming in to look for the ball. and defenders know how to push him outside when he has the ball and he doesnt have the pace or strength to take on good quality defenders. on the positive side he can score goals and take on players, however i have only seen him to this against teams in the lower half of the table, and against better oppostition and for england he has not looked great. he may be a good player for middlesbough who are not chalenging for european football, but i would not like to see him sign for spurs.

As a Boro fan I see him week in week out. I know him well. You don't you just read your red top comics and repeat what they tell you. Hint: check out OPTA stats and you'll find he is an AWSESOME player. Funny thing is, when he signs for Spurs fools like you will claim 'he's come on loads - must be by playing with better teammates'
