PARIS (Reuters) - Chelsea are giving Frenchman Stephane Porato a trial on Monday in their search for a third goalkeeper after losing number one Petr Cech with a head injury, French sports daily L'Equipe said.
Porato, 33, played for relegated AC Ajaccio last season and has been without a club since June.
Cech suffered a fractured skull in a collision with Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt during a Premier League match nine days ago.
The 24-year-old Czech international underwent surgery and is expected to be out of action for several months.
Porato, capped once by France, had contacts in the off-season with Ligue 1 side Valenciennes and clubs in Italy and Israel.
