5- 1
by Whatanidiot on January 25, 2008
What a ridiculous article. I have not heard any Spurs fans claiming it was a full strength Arsenal side, and anyway that doesn't diminish the fact that it was an excellent performance. I also love the way you have conveniently overlooked the fact that the somewhat fortunate league win at the Emirates was against a Spurs side without a single member of the first choice back four or central midfield playing in position - is consistency too much to ask?
by squirrel on January 25, 2008
Bad loser! Sagna, Gallas, Hleb and Fabregas after 17mins! Not a second string team. everyone outside the world of goon knows that we beat ARSEnal fair and square. No iff and no buts. Just deal with it and move on! 5-1!!! Spurs are on their way to Wembley!! LOL
by Kent Yid on January 25, 2008
Nanda, why did you go through such lengths to explain your under strength side? Who cares? Losing 5:1 has got to hurt whichever team you put out. It's hurting you so much you spend hours on talking stats. 5:1 - thank you and good night.

What sought of team is put out in the FA Cup and then in Arsenal's next Premiership game, if this is a far difference to the team that got battered on Tuesday, Point taken! If we see a simular side, with Adebeyor, Rosicky and Senderos starting I think this article is complete Bo***x!(Fabregas played most of the game) Why cant Arsenal admit they were beat by a better team, yes Spurs had there first team playing, but please note that the average age in the team is 24!!!!! So Spurs are also a young team, Arsenal had the choice and warning from the 1st leg to play there best, but Wenger didn't!! Get over it, you were battered!

Oh my god, haven't you got over it yet. You were thrashed good and proper. I don't care if you had a side full of reserves...it serves you right to think that you could beat us...you're too cocky for words. The most satisfying thing was seeing your so called supporters leaving with 20 minutes to go, and your so called team fighting amongst themselves because they couldn't handle the pressure of being thumped by Spurs..He He!!
by G4L_harry on January 25, 2008
At the end of the day, Spuds deserved their, irrespective of line ups. Yes players were missing but it wasn't as youthful as previous games. I was disappointed as most gooners were, as it was obvious from the first leg that Ramos has had an effect on the spuds players, I think wenger miscalculated a tad perhaps, but he's the gaffer. All I would say irrespective of the score and to be honest it was humbling, Spuds are not our equals as yet as portrayed by some columnists. The next match against them, (likely to be next season as I cannot see them doing Man United) will be a cracker and parity will be restored in my opinion.

As the ghuy said earlier, did we maon when we played you at the Emmirates with a team strung together of first startes, half fit and new players? Did we moan? Did we!? You lost - move on!
by bigbad on January 25, 2008
u can only beat the team that is put in front of u, which we did! it could have been so much worse. Any other manager would have changed it had half time, while u still had a chance of winning the game.

A quick look at the Arsenal "reserves" that played on Tuesday night reveals a bit of a paradox! Of the “Reserve team” players or “Kids” used on Tuesday against Spurs; 6 played against Fulham in the Premiership 3 days before 9 played against Birmingham in the Prem on Jan 12th 8 played against Burnley in the FA cup 1st round 7 played against West Ham on 1st Jan 8 played against Everton on 29th Dec 7 played the Prem games against Spurs & Portsmouth on 22nd & 26th Dec respectively 7 played the Carling Cup Qtr final against Blackburn 7 played the Prem game against Chelsea on 16th Dec & 8 played the Champions League game v Steau Bucharest 9 played the Champions League game v Sevilla 8 played the Champions League game v Spavia Prague When do you actually become a “First Team” regular at @rsenal? The @rse have played 37 competitive games this year Fabianski 5 Appearances in the Carling Cup as you might expect but Sagna 28 starts plus 2 as sub J Hoyte 8 1 Gallas 22 Traore 7 Eduardo
by essex on January 25, 2008
The Arsenal team that was put out cost more than the spurs team. Is it our fault that some of your players were injured or away at the ACON? I also think you'll find that we had key players missing for the league games this year. Pathetic fans moaning on and on & the fact that half you left after 60 mins is a disgrace.

WENGER MADE A TACTICAL MISTAKE IN HIS CHOICE FROM THE VERY START ADEBAYOR WANTED TO PLAY FROM THE VERY START...HENCE HIS PUNCH UP WITH BENTNER!! 5-1 WILL BREAK ARSENALS CONFIDENCE AND THEY WILL GO ONTO WIN NOTHING AGIN THIS SEASON. SPURS AT NEW WEMBLEY BEFORE ARSENAL HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
by SG on January 25, 2008
This is so boring why can't you learn to lose with a bit of class. You have written a whole article trying to defend a 5-1 defeat. The fact is that a strong Arsenal team got hammered. get over it. Its quite clear you don't know the Spurs first team otherwise you would have known that only 4 'first team' players played in the league game at the Emirates. A midfielder had to play full back and a full back had to play centre back. In fact is was far more of as 'reserve side' then you played on Tuesday but I didn't see you complaining at the time. Just learn to accept defaet with a bit of class and move on. It is becoming a little pathetic.
by Tom on January 25, 2008
How come all the Arsenal fans have only talked about the weakened team after the thrashing? They seemed sure they would win before the game and their so called 2nd string had well beaten other teams. They got a lesson!
by paul on January 25, 2008
arsene wenger picked the team . if these 2nd rate players beat spurs as they did last season then would arsenal superstars. and to score 5 mins after coming on it took us about 3 mins at start of each half. Score could've and should've been more and we all no it.
by crazyteknohed on January 25, 2008
...and rolling out the excuses. Cerny = reserve keeper, Lee = in for the injured Bale, Tainio = a utility player at best. Let's not forget we pulled off all our best players on the 60th minute, giving you lot a good 30 minutes to try and get something out of the game. But no, all you could manage were some hissy-fits and poor sportsmanship. I'm guessing it'll take Arsenal fans a while to get over this result..
by Oh dear on January 25, 2008
You can only beat whats put in front of you and if your arroganant, blind, deluded manager picks the wrong team then that is his fault. Lets look at the goons - Gallas, Hleb, and the prems current ugliest player, sagna are all definite 1st teamers. Gilberto has been for a long time. Walcott is a world cup veteran and fabritw*t played from the 18th minute - i thought he is one of the best players in the world. Got to be worth at least 2 spurs players then.... Hoyte, hasn't he played many a prem game? Adebaywhore, 2nd top scorer in the prem, played too. so don't give us all this rubbish about a half strength team. One minute you bang on about your 'kids' being world then once they get stuffed they're just the 'kids' again. Can't have it both ways...
by Thierry Ennui on January 25, 2008
... ex-England international Jenas and Finland's finest Tainio were more than a match for that inexperienced midfield trio of Fabregas, Hleb and Gilberto. It was like men against boys out there. Is Walcott the new David Bellion?
by Sy on January 25, 2008
1) The average age of the gooners 14 players used was 22.8, for spurs 25.8. So yes they were a little younger. 2) The goon starting XI cost £51m to Spurs £39m. including the 3 subs used this becomes £62m arse to £53m spurs. 3) The 14 players used by spurs have started 279 games between them this season, the gooners 14 have started 214 between them. 4) There were 11 players out of the 14 for Arsenal who have full international caps. Spurs had only 10. 5) The total caps held by the 14 goons is 261 (hardly kids eh!) to spurs 341. 6) 2 players for the goons have won the world cup, thats pretty good for experience. We beat, no slaughtered, a good Arsenal team. Not their best, but a good Arsenal team, peppered with experience, that cost "the greatest transfer bargain hunter in the world, ever, in the history of football that started the careers of every great player for Pele to Rooney" (copywrite skysports) over £60m to assemble.
by Pete on January 25, 2008
It wasn't Spurs that did half a job, it was Wenger who didn't do his job. I don't go along with it's only the Carling Cup. I can't believe that any Arsenal fan is happy that any team of theirs got beaten 5-1 by Spurs.
by superbill on January 25, 2008
Spurs is different under Romas with the same players inherited from BMJ. This proved me right that I never rate BMJ after his first full season. With Ramos, I have my reservation initially. But now I am confident we have a capable coach in Wenger, Ferguson and Benitez class We fully match Arsenal first 11 when we were at Emirate Stadium although we lost 2-1. However, the scum will no longer expect an easy game from SPURS anymore... The day to challange the top 4 has come.

by Big D on January 25, 2008
What a game! 5-1 and Arsene Wenger's face on the bench was a picture ;o))) Every team has to put up with players unavailable due to international duty, injury etc. It's why football clubs have "squads" not "teams". Wenger put out a side which he thought would beat Spurs (and ,as usual, players being rested on the bench in case they couldn't). As it happened Spurs trounced a team which finished with all of your best available players on the pitch except Rosicky. Get over it and stop making excuses! We've had to endure seasons of 1/2 strength teams because of injured players and Spurs fans realised that this is just part of football a decade ago and stopped complaining about it - NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!!
by James on January 25, 2008
Pathetic clown......take defeat like a man.
by gspurs on January 25, 2008
I wonder how many spurs defeats could be explained away by this pathetic 'so and so was injured', 'so and so wasn't available' rubbish. They are such bad losers - exemplified by their manager. At least Jol and Ramos were dignified about it. We at WHL have jealously looked at Ar$e success and a tactically astute managed and recognised - if resented - their talents. Why can't those goons do the same? Yeah, we really sneaked past with 5 goals didn't we. I guess we did do half a job - we could have won 8-1 easily... They bring the hatred on themselves...
by Roland Pennycook on January 25, 2008
I think that makes your team about 15 players! You might have won then.
by daniel Hopkins on January 25, 2008
That is by far the most boring "boo hoo, how can this be happening" biased, waste of my time for reading it Arsenal rubbish i have read in a long time. I hope this is the beginning of the end of Arsenal's season. they truly were awful and Spurs were phenominal.

Sad article. No one has suggested it was Arsenal first choice XI. As I said on a similar thread yesterday, the lack of grace, dignity and humility a perecentage of Arsenal fans are showing, taking the lead from their manager, is serving to give Tuesday night a shelf life that far outlasts the celebrations of the Spurs fans. Our minds are on Sunday. Why on earth make you and your club look so ridiculous by trying so transparantly and egotistically to cover up your hurt from Tuesday with this nonsense. We know it hurt you, we know because it's hurt when we lose. Your ego and arrogance in the aftermath has been astounding and merely left us to stand back in astonishment at how small a percentage of Arsenal fans have so publicly revealed themselves to be and what a bad name it gives the fair-minded, honest and likeable perecentage of Arsenal followers who admitted their team were completely outplayed, have dealt with their hurt and are no longer coming out with this absurd rubbish.

Facts here for bleating bad losing moaning graceless classless Goons: On Tuesday Arsenal fielded 2 world cup winners. Arsenal starting 11 cost 51m, Spurs 11 cost 39m. The 14 players used by Spurs on Tuesday have started 279 games between them this season, Arsenals players 215. 11 players used by Arsenal in the game with full international caps, Spurs fielded only 10. (Thanks to the Spurs show for the stats!!). <p>So take your kids / reserves argument and shove it. BTW Wenger said he had no choice but to include experienced players in the side... Hmm. I think he could have actually used some of the actual RESERVES if he had really wanted to. These players were not reserves. Had to laugh when he said he had wished he had started with more younger players. Aside from being nonsense, does this mean he would have enjoyed a 7,8,9,10 - 1 scoreline more???
GIVE IT A REST. NOBODY CARES!! you lost. why is every arsenal fan rushing onto the web to make excuses. we've heard more from arsenal fans telling everyone why they lost than we have from spurs fans boasting about it. personally i dont see what ur getting at? you were forced to utilise your supposedly superior squad, just like every other team who lose players through injury, suspension, ACN etc. i heard time after time that your 'kids' would beat us comfortably. they didn't. and neither did the 8 first teamers who played. and the supposed disgrace of the team celebrating at the end. the only disgrace was ur players and wengers reluctance to admit defeat. PATHETIC. oh yeh spurs had a reserve keeper playing to and rested their first teamers after an hour. ha ha

Strange report this. No where have I seen anyone say the words "Spurs beat a full strength Arsenal side"? I appreciate your frustrations at losing but blame the manager...he put that team out. If anything you should be thankful that Spurs did thrash them as it finally shows everyone that while the so called fringe players oif you like are decent, they are not capable of finishing in the top 6 like some people have suggested in the past. I would also be concerned at how easy Berbatov and Keane found it playing against Gallas...both players outclassed him in 1 on 1 situations. Walcott was ineffective in both games (don't mention his goal as it was nothing to do with his footballing play rather on outstretched hadn that brought that around. I will say it was accidental so he didn't even cheat properly). As for Adebayor and Eduardo...yes they only took 5 mns to score...but that means they did nothing for the remaining 20 odd mins then! This also after Spurs ha taken off their two strikers with half an h

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE ARSENAL TEAM THAT PLAYED SPURS - 13 of 14 good enough for champs league?? Goalkeeper: Lukasz Fabianski International Caps: 6 By far the weakest link in the line-up, Fabianski cost Wenger a reported £2million last summer, and I for one feel he was worth every penny last night. Left back: Armand Traore Champions League appearances this season: 2 Given a torrid time by Aaron Lennon, Traore is nevertheless regarded as a future first-teamer, but is one of the only members of last night's team who can genuinely be referred to as a reserve. Centre back: William Gallas Age: 30 / International Caps: 44 Premier League appearances this season: 17 Champions League appearances this season: 4 Club captain, and their most experienced player, Gallas is inarguably a first-teamer, and he will have been mightily embarrassed to lose by such a heavy margin last night, especially when you consider it is the second time he has been subjected to this humilation. There is no doubt that you well and truly stuffed us. However, it is a true fact that Hoyte would have been the 7 choice at the position of CB and we only started with 3 first team. Well done on beating us great win. What you have to ask yourself honestly is... Why are you all getting so excited about one game of football against a team who had so many players out? What the score would and could have been with you start 3 first teamers and us having our full strength side out? What will happen when you lose to Man Utd and Chelsea and your season is finished? What will happpen as you won't get into Europe next year? Why are so concerned about us? One bad result doesn't escape the fact that we are light years ahead of you and double the amount of points. Most importantly there are so many spuds on every website now, where were you for the last 9 years?!!! Well done on beating us, glad you saved it from being an entire decade since you beat us. him being a reserve player laughable, though admittedly not as laughable as his performances. Forward: Nicklas Bendtner Premier League appearances this season: 14 Champions League appearances this season: 4 Lauded after his header hit the back of the net in December, he managed to repeat the trick last night, though the Arsenal celebrations on this occasion were strangely muted. Also seems to bleed easier than Ricky Hatton. SUBS Cesc Fabregas Premier League appearances this season: 19 Champions League appearances this season: 6 This young unknown made but a brief 70 minute cameo, and can hardly be expected to turn the game around, with the match already beyond Arsenal at 1-0 when he was introduced. Emmanuel Adebayor Premier League appearances this season: 21 Champions League appearances this season: 5 Admittedly brought on with the tie already decided, Adebayor was still given 25 minutes to change the game, and whilst his goal was impressive, it succeeded only in bringing to an end every commentator's f

favourite statistic about Arsenal never losing when he scores. Eduardo Premier League appearances this season: 13 Champions League appearances this season: 5 £8.5million for a squad player may seem somewhat excessive, especially for a manager renowned for uncovering bargains, but we must gloss over Wenger's terrible record when given large amounts of money, and instead focus on Darren Bent, who has as many Premier League goals as Eduardo.

...calm down the lot of you. A weakened Arsenal side lost to a team that wanted it more, and ultimately both teams got what they deserved. The Carling Cup is not important for Arsenal - that cannot be disputed - and any appreciation of Spurs' victory needs to take that into consideration. No Arsenal side will play as poorly as that again this season, and no Spurs side will play as superbly. Nothing has really changed here - Spurs have simply gone from being a mid-table team to being a mid-table team with a minor cup final to play in. And if Spurs lose that, then Tuesday night's victory, however heroic it might seem right now, will count for nothing.
by Dr.J on January 25, 2008
It's all getting a bit out of hand really. Congratulations to Spurs and good luck in the final. we were tonked. It could have been the same score at home. I have no problem with the teams Arsene puts out the in the CC and there was always a risk that they could take a hiding along the way (either last year, this year and probably next year). The CC is very useful for helping to decide which players will make the grade(say, Fabregas a few years ago) and those that wont or might not(several of the players on Tuesday night). At the moment the CC is low on Arsenal's wish-list. That might change in the future, as nothing last forever in football. Despite the embarrassment of Tuesday night, I wouldn't swap it for the 6 points in the league. Our league campaign has, to date, been nothing short of fantastic and that is much more significant than either the CC or the FA Cup. Given that we were supposed to be in a dog-fight for 5th with Spurs, Everton and a few others, equal top with a team that has spent a mintin

by Gooner Ian on January 25, 2008
lets get it right yidos. you well and truly battered us, so i'll give you the credit you deserve for that. but all this gloating makes you look stupid. until you're in a position to challenge arsenal in the league, i suggest you give us the respect we deserve. after all we have won considerably more than you. It took you 9years to beat us again, so don't get carried away over one result. arsenal are still superior to spurs by some distance, as the league table shows. anyway we've bigger fish to fry - champions league football something spurs fans can only dream of.
by brian on January 25, 2008
As an Arsenal fan I take the defeat as well as I can and say that Spurs definitely really deserved it.The writing for us was on the wall after the first leg despite the stupid over-confidence of a lot of Arsenal fans. However although Spurs fans are rightly celebrating lets keep it a little bit in perspective and bringing out a DVD is slightly pathetic. By the way the last big game that I remember finishing 5-1 and leading to loads of stupid over-reaction was England beating Germany and we all know what happened to England when they quickly got back to normal.
by Dave on January 25, 2008
...the pathetic attempts by Gooners to avoid the facts of this defeat. Face it Spurs are more likely to win a trophy this season than you now!
by Ace on January 25, 2008
Well stated by Man Utd fan - the only kid or YOUTH aspect about the Arsenal Team (both legs) is probably Hoyte (God he looked rubbish) Wenger has been leading the press in this for ages. From a Spurs side Lennon, Boateng, Huddlestone, O'Hara, Cerny and so on....what is YOUTH/KIDS and what is FIRST TEAM SQUAD regardless of age. Walcott, Traore, Fabianski, Denilson, and so on were bought for a lot of money, or ability, regardless of age. Gilberto is a Brazilian international, but just not being chosen by Wenger for his team t this time. Fabregas is first choice, but is also young. Just like Lennon is for Spurs. The reality is that it is Wengers choice, and if he picks from the players avilable then that is his choice. BUT dont start banging on about YOUTH, kids, lack of experience, scoring with first shots(didnt realise you werent allow to score with the first shot in a game). He paints it to mislead. If Spurs had King and Berbatov available last year for both legs then it might of been different. BUT of cours
Spurs Boys...lets all calm down enjoy our moment quietly in the full knowledge of the %-1 hammering dished out to the scum. Get online...book our tickets for WEM-BER-LEY (where THEY haven't been yet...) and sit back and enjoy the thought of them travelling to BIRMINGHAM AWAY that weekend...IT'S A WONDERFUL WORLD.

Please don't go on Coys your awful english is hurting my brain. You are a nothing team
by LaughingYid on January 25, 2008
you had enough out there, i don't think anyone undervalues your squad....except your own LOL. All that happened in that respect is you and Wenger underestimated spurs and we out played you in 1 leg and walloped you in the second. that is all, end of story. And believe me, everyone is laughing at you, not just spurs fans but others too, not because you lost (that happens)... but because of this sad whining excuse shtick we keep hearing, just get over it... spurs are the reigning holders of the NLD. over two matches you weren't good enough, by football or tactics. dry your eyes mate. I'd feel more embarrassed by this article than the result if i was you.
by Dr. J on January 25, 2008
Er, nice comment regarding not challenging for the league in 3 years. We'll have the conversation when it reaches 47 years like our celebrated neighbours. Forgive me for assuming 47, as I don't imagine you'll be making a late push for the title again this year. I'll help you out here. Arsenal have had to finance a new stadium in recent years, in which time, so not to put us in significant financial trouble, AW hasn't had much money/spent much money. He has tried to build a team with young players who cost very little, supplemented by a few players that cost that little bit more. Pretty sensible really. The fact that, in that time, he has kept Arsenal in the top 4, okay, without ever challenging for the title, is nothing short of a minor miracle. This year it has started to gel and next year will be, I'm sure, better again.
by jim on January 25, 2008
When arsenal beat us at the emirate did spurs fans make excuses by saying we had 2 20 years old in midfield? a midfielder at right back and a right back at centre back because of injuries or did we just take it on the chin and get on with it. Have some grace in defeat. Oh and the team you put out has 2000 first team appearances and over 200 international caps. 9 of the appeared in the league game against birmingham on saturday. what excatly are you saving this mythical first team for?
Terry. Check YOUR Grammar mate. Not sure what you're on about. Want to try again?
by Forever in our shadows on January 25, 2008
I think this guy's touched a nerve. I've heard so many Spurs fans claiming that you beat a full strength side, just because a few first teamers came on as subs. People on here denying that is just rubbish. I'm not denying that Spurs played well, and Arsenal fans have no authroity to diminish Spurs achievement by saying that they beat a weakened team. That afterall is our fault. On the other hand, however, Spurs claiming that one result puts them back in the Big Time is laughable. We have double your points total and unless you win the final, all your efforts will have been pointless. It's often heard that it's better lose in the Semi Final than the Final. I'm sure you'll be all be back on here if you lose against Chelsea (or will that just be a blip). Roll on St Totteringham Day (hopefully in March sometime.
by Statman on January 25, 2008
Arsenal 54 points, Spurs 27 points. No excuses for that here.
by Anon on January 25, 2008
Spurs fans...you won...get over it... Arsenal fans...you lost....get over it.... Arsenal fans know that Spurs beating Arsenal is their World Cup Final and Spurs fans know that Arsenal are a better team..... The League table doesnt lie....
by mc2 on January 25, 2008
A reality check needs to be made here. First of all the only Spurs player in the semi-final against Arsenal to have ever won anything vaguely cup shaped was Lee Young Pyo (the Dutch FA cup equivalent). Arsenal however started with a team featuring a spine of two world cup winners. Also worth noting that Walcott is only 18 months younger than Lennon. £12 million vs £1.5 million. This isn't about 'the kids' thats a misnomer. This is about the fact that the Arsenal squad simply isn't good enough to compete on all fronts and that is perhaps not as shrewd as some would have you think and has had to rely on 1 or 2 world class talents as opposed to a world class squad. Much as he might not like to admit it I think the contents of Wengers trophy cabinet at the end of the season will show that his squad are closer to Tottenham and Liverpool in overall strength than Man Utd or Chel$ki.
by DannyMackay on January 25, 2008
I'm loving the bitterness - it comes through in waves with almost every article. fantastic.
by Bobbyjoe on January 25, 2008
This was a cup semi final, Spurs V arsenal, Arsehole Winger chose 11 players to start the game, these eleven players in his mind were the best 11 to get the job done. As soon as he named his team they became the Arsenal first 11! Spurs humiliated them 5-1. It does not matter in the slightest who the players were or how old or how many times they have played, when they took to the field they were Arsenal! I am sure Arsenal have a reserve team in the reserves league with a reserve team coach, I bet they are not clamming to have played in a cup semi final are they?!

by Ole Gunner on January 25, 2008
Does anyone really think Spurs could have beaten Arsenal's strongest available side? If so, you might qualify for a discount on a brain transplant.
by Champion on January 25, 2008
I must admit we deserved to get beaten by spurs. We played pretty lousy while they did a great job. But so what!!! As if we give a damn to this mickey mouse cup. Ask the spurs team to field their second string team and they will get knock out in the first round! Let them boast as long as they like cos this will be their only chance for the rest of the season and the rest of their LIVES!! Let's see which team will laugh at the end of the season, and which will languish at mid table. All the spurs fans dream of is for their team to beat Arsenal, pathetic dream!!! No wonder they are still a s*** team! And about being a sore loser! So what again! I hate losing cos Arsenal always wins! While you spurs fans can go enjoy losing as much as u like. So enjoy while you can, and cry for the rest of the season!

Best bit of the night was seeing a load of Arsenal supporters leaving WHL after only an hour. Millions saw it on TV.

OK our weak team was beaten by a much better team on the night, but seriously it was the Carling Cup. Get over it. See you in the Champions League next year, oh sorry maybe not...
by Champions League on January 25, 2008
Apparently there have been massive sales of sat navs in the scummy area of north london, as thousands of yids dont know where Wembley is !!!!
Talking of Chumpions League...reminds me of Barcelona...what a hilariously funny night that was...Gooners crying in the streets and the pubs. Thanks for the memories.
by yahooyid on January 25, 2008
Any more gooners looking to embarrass themselves? Come on step up and write your utter drivel. The more I see of these idiots, the more I know why I'm Spurs. It wont be long, another one seems to come along pretty often...

by NICK on January 25, 2008
ACTUALLY YOU TOTAL IDIOTS IF U ACTUALLY BOTHER TO LOOK OUTSIDE YOUR STUPID SPUD BUBBLE YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT WE ONLY HAD ONE CENTERBACK FIT FOR THAT GAME, WICH WAS GALLAS HENCE HE PLAYED. WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PLAY HOYTE AT CENTERBACK WHO IS A FALLBACK, AND GILBERTO IN MIDFIELD IS PAST IT EVEN THO IT PAINS ME TO SAY IT. THIS SQUAD WAS ALOT WEAKER THAN OUR ACTUAL CARLING CUP SQUAD EVEN WITH THE FIRST TEAM REGULARS IN IT. BENDTNER AND WALCOTT UP FRONT wAS A BAD IDEA GIVEN WALCOTTS OBVIOUS LACK OF SELF BELIEF AND THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HELPED HIM ANY. TRUE WE HAD FABREGAS FOR MOST THE GAME, BUT WHAT CAN HE DO IF THE FRONT PLAYERS DONT DELIVER? THE VERY IDEA OF TOTTENHAM BEING AN EQUAL TO ARSENAL IS LAUGHABLE, AND I DONT SERIOUSLY BELEVE ANY SPUD FAN WITH A BRAIN BELEIVES IT. LOOK WHAT HAPPEND WHEN ADEBAYOR CAME ON, SCORED ALMOST STRAIGHT AWAY. YOU WON 5-1 AGAINST THE TEAM WE PUT OUT NO1 IS DENYING THAT, ALL THIS ARTICLE IS SAYING IS THAT THE STUPID SPUD FANS SUDDENLY THINK THEY ARE THE BEST TEAM IN LONDON, W
Such short short memories. Years of watching so-called spurs fans filing out of Highbury and emirates 20 minutes before the end. Years of hearing why you fail to beat the Arsenal (again) blaming lasagne, injuries referees, bad luck etc etc etc. (you would never have beaten us 2-1 if we had ledley - yawn) You're no different - you hate to lose to us, we hate to lose to you and the losers will always look to make it better by blaming something (anything) that gets us off admitting you were the better team. The only difference is that you guys have been whinging and moaning and making excuses for your losses for much longer time than us (about 9 years I think!) Jesus you even wrote to the FA asking for a replay because some of your players had the s***s. And you accuse us of whinging! Enjoy your moments lads. You were the better team on the night - you will never be the better team in the long run.
Fish to fry...you certainly will be. Back to England you Come Gooner boys with a nice new humiliating defeat behind you...I reckon 3-0 to AC. Maybe 4.
, WHEN IN REALITY THE WIN WAS PRETTY MUCH HANDED TO YOU ON A PLATE, BUT WENGER WOULD NOT USE THE FIRST TEAM BECAUSE THAT IS NOT HOW HE USES THE CARLING CUP AND HE PROMISED THE FANS HE WOULD STICK WITH THE YOUNGSTERS, THE ONLY REASON THE FIRST TEAMERS WERE THERE IS COZ WE HAD NO CHOICE.
COZ I KNOW SPUDS HAVE BAD EYESIGHT
by Gonuts McDie on January 25, 2008
Like any football fan I want to see my team win as much silverware as possible, and that includes the Carling Cup. So not getting through to a final, getting knocked out by our closest rivals, and what's more getting thrashed in the process and watching our players argue with each other on the pitch is really disappointing. Still, there's no excuse for us Gooners to be bitter about one blip. After all, Spurs fans have been coping with one s*** result after another for the last 10 years.
by KENT YID on January 25, 2008
Oh I see. It's just that it makes you look simple and uneducated, which I hope isnt the case.
WELL LEARN TO READ AND THEN IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE DOES IT
Good retort Nick, you continue to impress me with your mental dexterity..
I THINK IM GONNA KEEP MY CAPS ON JUST COZ KENT YID LIKES IT SO MUCH
Not fussed either way, just wondered why you typed like that. You still are not doing yourself any favours with your answers. How old are you?
HAVE A GUESS. IT MIGHT KEEP YOU ENTERTAINED, LIKE COMMENTING ABOUT MY CAPS INSTEAD OF SAYING SOMETHING INTELLIGENT AND ACTUALLY ABOUT THE ARTICLE OR EVEN TO WHAT I COMMENTED. BUT MAYBE THATS A BIG ASK FOR YOU YIDS SEEIN AS YOU BLATANTLY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ANYTHING FOOTBALL RELATED
by MATT on January 25, 2008
what a load of crap, u are clearly a ******* idiot. If you look at the arsenal starting line-up at least 9 of the 11 players have played first team football, they are the up and coming players arsenal like to boast about. Even when Fabregas came on, Jenas made him look average. And the excuse of them having a young side, our first team is aged between 17-24 when fully fit. So dont talk crap. Its a scoreline that will live in the memory of the spurs fans and also the arsenal fans. COY
Oh go on then, I reckon 10 maybe 11 tops..am I right?
by phonzy on January 25, 2008
spurs fans keep goin abt dat dey beat arsenal. i understand d jubilation, arsenal have dealt wit dem mercylesly for 9yrs n dey win a have strength arsenal and start jubilating. wat a shame.
YOUR CLEARLY THE ***** IDIOT AROUND HERE, LEARN ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES SQUADS BEFORE YOU COMMENT ON THEM
by MB79 on January 25, 2008
These Spurs fans make me laugh, yes you were better than us on the night fair play, but dont get carried away now, yes you are going to Wembley but thats all you are going to look forward to this season. And I hate to say it I hope you beat Chelsea. You must admit all the money you have spent this season is a waste, it hasn't improved you at all since last season. Spurs for the top 3? They will be lucky if they are in the top half. On another note most of you people here are just armchair supporters. If you would have been to any games this season you would realise yes we have a good team but we are not anywhere near the finished artical. Theo has been the biggest disapointment, every game I have seen him this season which is almost everyone he has played, looks like a kid, he has no idea what he is doing, he constantly makes the wrong choices and loses the ball. I admit he needs time but thats what happens when you build players up. Arsene is the man but sometimes I wish he would spend some money on
NO BUT I WONT HOLD IT AGAINST YOU, YOU PROBS DONT KNOW ANYY HIGHER NUMBERS
