Real Madrid watch out! For long, the Spanish giants have been chasing Milan’s prized asset Kaka but it appears that it could boomerang on the Merengues. Goal.com quotes Milan great Paolo Maldini as saying that he would love to watch Real Madrid’s defender Sergio Ramos play for the Rossoneri when he retires from football at the end of the season.

Maldini said: "My successor is Sergio Ramos, he will shortly become the best defender in the world."

Ramos certainly has the potential to become the best. He is still only 21 years of age and has been a regular for the Madrid giants since last season. Ramos is also a regular for the Spanish national squad. He is versatile, and effective in attack and defence.

So are Milan about to rush for the player in the summer? Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has already made it clear that Milan will be drenched in money in the summer and a massive revamp of the squad is inevitable.

Real have consistently maintained that their record signing won't be pulled away from the Bernabeu at all, but you never know.
