Louis Saha is a decent striker, but not much more than that. After nearly four years at Manchester United it seems that Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to cut his losses and offload the former Fulham star (Daily Mail) who arrived amidst a muted fanfare for a £12m-plus fee.

Statistics can be misleading, especially in football, and on the face of it 74 starts and 41 goals looks like a hugely impressive record, but I think even hardened United fans would have to agree that Saha has not proved that much of an investment.

Injuries, loss of form, and the knack of finding the net, only after missing the target with a good dozen efforts beforehand, have all played a part in his time in a Red Devils jersey.

So who might be interested? Well, it seems that a move back to London is the most likely option should he stay in the Premier League. Spurs and West Ham have both been mentioned countless times as potential suitors. You have to wonder though if it would be a wise move to bring in the 29-year-old.

After all, in the last 14 months he has only managed to score goals from open play against Sunderland (3 of them to be fair) in the Premier League and that is from a total of 22 matches. Would either the Hammers or Spurs really benefit from his arrival? I think not!

Maybe a move back to Fulham would suit everyone down to the ground!
