How about Anelka/Torres, that would have worked perfectly!
by Jihn on February 10, 2008
Berbatov and Klinsmann
by Tyler on February 10, 2008
Arsenal's current pairing Adebayor/ De Silva could be the greatest ever as they have EVERYTHING! Henry and Wright wouldn't give the strength in the air that Adebayor gives and Eduardo is just as good at finishing as wright.

How about Henry and Cantona?
by Crispin on February 10, 2008
Adebayor and Wright would have been world-beaters together. I agree with Tyler that Eduaardo is a good finisher too but Wright is an Arsenal man through and through also!

The best "fantasy" strike force has already been - Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish. End of. Perfection personified.

Ian Rush and Fernando Torres
by redhed17 on February 10, 2008
The best has already been, Rush and Dalglish. Dalglish could put a pass into anybody, and Rush could put those passes past anyone. It is very rare for forwards to actually work as a partnership anymore.

PELE and MARADONA in support
by Michae Mare on February 10, 2008
Shevchenko (in prime) and Thierry Henry
Henry and Shevchenko is a good shout Michae; how about Henry Ruud Van Nistelroy (in prime) or Henry Shearer even?
by CaribKid on February 10, 2008
Agree wholeheartedly with you Bob, Pele and Maradona would be unstoppable. Unknown to many folks who never had the opportunity to watch these two in their prime, although not being tall, they were fantastic headers of the ball. Both could set up or play as the main striker, their technical skill, work rate, flair for the sublime, and precise finishing would make it near impossible to contain them.

van Persie and Adebayor.
by Welwyn Gooner on February 10, 2008
Best partnership to actually play together has to be Maradona and Careca at Napoli, although Van Basten and Gullit weren't bad for the Dutch!
by The Chosen One on February 10, 2008
Well some good comments and some well of the mark. Not into mums or dads but for no one to mention Vanbasten or Best (and i`m a liverpool fan!!!) seems we have a few pretenders.Ok wont sit on the fence. Most exciting Henry and Cantana Most prolific Vanbasten and Best Most successfull......... come on guys i`m a liverpool fan D R. I rest my case
