...and buy Milito!
by Michael on February 11, 2008
Milito is awesome and i think he would be worth every penny
by Mezcal on February 11, 2008
We do not need another expensive (therefore gamble) striker. We need a quality CB and a world class central midfielder, happy to read of a 18million bid for a star midfielder, creative and tough but not for another striker. Scoring goals aint a problem for us!

Sorry but if this is true its bad news, the only reason we would sign a player like this is to replace Berbatov, like it or not if Bent goes we will be lucky to recieve half the fee we payed for him, last saturday was a prime example as to the difference in ability between Berbatov and Bent. If Berbatov fails to sign a new deal by the summer, I have no doubt in my mind he will be sold.

Get Ashton!
Get Ashton!
Ashton.. haha Get Ibrahimovic
by Jimbob on February 11, 2008
I can't help feeling sorry for Bent, every time he comes on, the spurs fans are cheering for Berbs. The bloke hasn't really performed yet but it's not gonna aid his game much...
by Andy on February 11, 2008
I'm not sure how likely it is that Berbatov will move in the summer. He'll be too old for ManYoo to spend money on him so unless someone from overseas comes in for him I think he'll stay. Likes Ramos too...
by Giler on February 11, 2008
Ibrahimovic would be a dream signing for spurs if berba goes but i cant see us getting him. I agree get an £18 mill midfield player instead or ramos from madrid even gago or sergio aguero

Spurs will not risk it after the Campell scenario, If he fails to sign then we will profit, in fairness as much as it hurts because he is a quality player, I seem to remember Utd putting in a £15mill bid for campbell which we rejected, the following season he joined the scum for nothing!
by Berbatov on February 11, 2008
Berbatov cant leave on a free in two years time as spurs have the option of a further two years on his contract, so it is not like a Carrick or sol campbell scenario. Although I still think he will go for 20 mill plus in the summer

milito is a quality player but don't think we'll sign him sorry. and all this slagging bent off p***es me off. the guy hasn't had a look in. the boy needs a couple of games under his belt then he'll come good but he's not going to have a run in the team cos berba and keane are on top of there game, don't care who we have there not going to dislodge our pair.
by spurstotty on February 11, 2008
Is this ontop of the 50m this site said Tottenham were spending less than 24hrs ago on three other players. What a joke!
by alfie on February 11, 2008
if we get david villa, diego capel and millito and get rid of bent, chimbonda then we could win the league
by kaz on February 11, 2008
Anyone thinking berbs is going to stay is in for a big dissapointment....he off in the summer for sure
alfie, are you p***ed. lets not push the boat out to far now, this year we were ment to overtake the arsenal it the champions league places and look where we are now
by paul on February 11, 2008
Cant believe averyones going on about selling bent bet he starts scoring goals soon and shuts people up. Look at is scoring record for a week team like charton 31 goals in 68 starts and 8 goals in 14 for under 21s that cant be bad. hope he proves you doubters wrong..
by mark on February 11, 2008
bent is useless if you watched the game on saturday he couldnt do anything. we have to sell him
by bent by name ... on February 12, 2008
let's see how the season ends, bent's just back from injury - i'd want him to succeed so if we sell him it's a reasonable claw back on what we paid; even better, he stays, and we have three dangerous target men
by Mattspurs on February 12, 2008
Come on guys, Bent hasnt had a chance yet, given a run he will deliver, hopefully before the season is out so if Berbs does go there will be no crazy panic buying again. Support our players, dont undermine them like the board did to Jol, remember how they got slated for that by the same people who are doing it to Bent. COYS!!
by I Agree on February 12, 2008
I Agree. Bent is a quality lone striker. A goal scoring machine. With a run in the team he will score more than Berbatov IMO.
by dwayne mooney on February 12, 2008
18m for a 28 yr old, i think not.
by girish on February 12, 2008
Berbatov will definitely be going to Man U, next season, we should have a top striker as replacement. We should have let D.Bent go instead of Defoe, and offered Defoe a better pay deal to keep him. We still have to spend the £9m we got from him and who knows we mighht be lumbered with another Rasiak!!! I still can t get over the fact that Man U scored in the dying seconds, when we should have been more alert and placed defenders on each goal post instead of zonal marking. AHHHH!! Spurs forever
by Martin on February 12, 2008
settling bent is the wrong type of player for totenham he doesnt offer more then a finnish to his game which isnt what totenham need
by WIN WIN SITUATION on February 14, 2008
better sign karem banzema(lyon) or nasri(marseile),young and prolific striker.than buy older player with reduced value when new year is coming.
