as a boyhood blue Jamie tends to avoid talking about the dark 1/10th of Merseyside.

what an idiot Carragher is, i could have told you before the season started that Liverpool have no hope in winning the league. he should show more respect to Everton, especially as we're 4th best team in England!
You're not even the 4th best team on Merseyside ;-)
by Kingfisher on February 11, 2008
As a blue , I hate to say it but Carragher did mention Everton in his interview

i think jamie is merely conceding that everton are still in the title race...more so than liverpool...

by mrkefc on February 11, 2008
Well if we are 5th best team on merseyside, that makes liverpool 6th. Luck you nicked a point of chelski otherwise you would have been 7th behind wesk kirby girls
At least I can spell it...
Ooooo get you ... handbag from Primark was it?

I believe his comments again just shows a lack of class.
oh dear, another deluded reds***e, the prem table does not lie, which means that we ARE in fact the 4th best team in the prem.
by davio on February 11, 2008
Just a observation but it says England international (not ex). This is the bloke who refuses his countries call up.

...from Kurstanvanger, I presume -funny how so may pro footballers from Merseyside (including those who play/have played for Lpool) were brought up Blues. Perhaps it simply reflects the fact that locals support Everton, does it not? I know things must seem different out there in Scandinavia.

Liverpool FC ---- Managed by Spaniards Owned by Americans Watched by Norwegians What would Shanks have said?
as a boyhood blue Jamie tends to avoid talking about the dark 1/10th of Merseyside.
LOL. You are talking out of your backside mate. Trust me, I live and work here and there are tons more Evertonians in the city that Reds. Liverpool have a bigger support from outside the city though. Places like St Helens, Widnes, Warrington, Chester. etc. Another big difference is that out of all my mates who support Everton, whch is about 15, everyone of them go the match and almost all are season ticket holders. out of all my mates who suppert liverpool. I can honestly think of 2 who go regularly, one of which is a season ticket holder. I yes, I do get all the bullshit about how you can't get a ticket for the next 4 million years due to the popularity of those lovable reds. When (if) your stadium ever gets built a lot of Sky watching reds are gonna have to put up or shut up. My guess is they'd gt lost in the Mersey tunnel if they had to find their way there. LOL. Don't worry though, if you don't qualify
I was just daying, don't worry if you don't qualify for the CK, as i'm sure your buddies in UEFA will change the rules again to let you in, just like they did last time you didn't qualify.

He's either trying to negotiate odds with BetFair on Lpool storming to the Prem title or...now posting as Freddie
by Redscouser on February 11, 2008
The firs time I saw that big daft sign over the park end saying the peoples club I p***ed myself. That is the biggest woolly-back thing any Scouser could see. It might aswell be a huge three star jumper hanging over the parkend. The funny thing is that the 3 out 4 scousers are reds and not really blue. Just because you don't have any support outside of Liverpool doesn't mean that many scouser are blues. It just means that you are under a huge shadow of Red and always will be. Lets face it your no bigger than Wigan. Just because your playing out of you skin and still only in 4th place says something. Liverpool are just about to hit form and that means trouble for Everton because Everton don't have anywhere near the same talent as the Mighty Reds.

never mind Pongo thingy - even Souness said `everywhere you go in Liverpool you meet Everton fans - almost everyone you meet is a Blue' But when did the truth ever get in the way of Lpool fans' blind self-deception?
by andymac on February 11, 2008
Now, now Blue Brothers. Give the Reds a break. Their owners have run out of money. They're mortgaged up to the hilt. Their Manager is living on borrowed time (hope he sticks around for a few years yet, though - smashin' job he's doing). The firm building their BurgerKingDome Stadium just had one fall down on them in Texas, they'rejust about clinging onto our coattails in the Premiership, and us, Man City, and Villa are in far better shape than them. Oh and it's probably FREEZING in Norway right now. They need something to cheer them up. Ah.. of course... they could always consider the Inter Toto...

"Everton are a bigger club than Liverpool. Everywhere you go on Merseyside you bump into Everton supporters." - Graeme Souness. "I have not been short of invitations to other clubs and have been received more warmly by Everton than I have by liverpool." - Bill Shankly after his retirement. "Don't Forget Boys! 'One Evertonian Is Worth Twenty Liverpudlians'" - Everton legend Brian Labone.
by geoff davies on February 11, 2008
never mind reds, you only need 2 more players blah blah.as for support scousers know that there are more blues in the city.---- liverpools next transfer target??? the Everton first team.

At least when we get to CL qualifiers we actually use our place to show the whole world how strong the EPL is
by Jamo on February 11, 2008
At least when we get to CL qualifiers we actually use our place to show the whole world how strong the EPL is
That's right - it's mainly off the pitch where you embarrass yourselves these days.

Or dont say whatever the case may be, I think jamie( Wheres his magic torch?) should be more worried about Villa and city stealing 4th place aswell, I know thats who Im worried about.
