Would be a good partnership, the keeper looks good and Cerny is not a first team keeper in my mind
Would be a good partnership, the keeper looks good and Cerny is not a first team keeper in my mind
Indeed Torres and Villa would be good!

Why would anyone want to go to a "has been" club. I'd opt for City or Everton before Liverpool.
by Bluetonium on February 12, 2008
Some interesting names being linked with us again but I feel Sven will fool the media once again and uncover a somewhat unknown rough diamond again. I'd rather we looked at Diego from Werder Bremen and possibly Quaresma.
by Spurs4Ever on February 12, 2008
No doubt he will see who Spurs are going after and try to steal them as he did with Martin Petrov !! Four eyed ugly bloke of a thief !
I hope you aer not referring to two of europes most sought after and exciting young talents are rough diamonds.... both have had world wide attention and fame for at least 5 years!
Why would anyone want to go to a "has been" club. I'd opt for City or Everton before Liverpool.
Everton and City are much more of a has been team than Liverpool...WTF have either won in the last 10 years...except fook all. Best laugh of the week...really cheered me up...thanks
Some interesting names being linked with us again but I feel Sven will fool the media once again and uncover a somewhat unknown rough diamond again. I'd rather we looked at Diego from Werder Bremen and possibly Quaresma.
and furthermore.... garrido was well known. Elano was already a Brazil starter. Gelson was already highly thought of, as was Geovanni. Petrov was one of the most famous wingers on earth, Bojinov was one of the most highly thought of players in italy. Bianchi wasn't that well known but you already got rid of him, and Corluka wasn't that well known either I guess. the one real shock in the Citeh team has been Johnson, he's a real star and nobody knew him or thought he'd be playing regularly this year!
by PJH on February 12, 2008
Well, you might not have heard of him, but we City fans had. It wasn't a surprise to us that he's played regularly as he was in the first team for the last 10 games of last season.

Isnt it funny how Spurs and City are always linked with the same players! Im sure these editors just think of a player that has mentioned an admiration of the premier league and just to make a story out of it link them with Spurs and City. Message to everyone believing this s***e: the transfer window is now shut and will remain so for a while, yes clubs maybe keeping an eye on various players but thats as far as it goes!!!!!
by Sean on February 12, 2008
Everton, Man City and Portsmouth are purely all pretenders. The only team Liverpool are fighting against is Aston Villa, who are hugely underrated. Liverpool should hit back and finish 4th again though. As for the possible Villa buying and potential Villa/Torres partnership, I think it COULD work, and could work well. HOWEVER, Fernando Torres is a GREAT striker, and I feel would play better as a lone striker, as he doesn't feel as though he must pass the ball around as much and can just do his thing.
by five one on February 12, 2008
It would be interesting to see during a course of a season how many players are linked to a club and how many actually sign

Spurs fans at it again. Yawn. Sven is looking at Alexei Sanchez, River Plate, and Montenegro, Boca Juniors. Oh, let me guess, they are well known in England and Spurs are looking at them. I guess Sven stole Caicedo too, right? Sean: stop feeling and try thinking. Jay, are you a PL baby then. The question is, what have City won in the last 30 years you muppet. Elio, your post makes little sense, read it again, slowly...back-handed compliment? BTW, Scouse bin-dippers, I've figured out a way you can buy your club from Hicks and Gilett: just do your usual when you need money; drive down the east Lancs road and do some Manchester robbing.

David Villa is a great talent no doubt, but the only reason Villa would be coming into spurs is if either Keane or Berbatovt are on the way out and I don't see Keane going anywhere and two little men up front doesnt work so i don't see David Villa coming in. Amelia is a great keeper and would be a great signing for spurs, he pulls of some world class saves. Stephane M'Bia iss a good young talent but i don't see him in a spurs shirt.
by michael on February 12, 2008
Man citys world domination is well and truely underway, sven goran erikkson has worked miracles in 1 season we gona get that 4th spot and we gonna be playin champions league football nxt season soz liverpool but ya shud of appointed sven when ya had the chance, SVEN AKA KING OF TACTICS, oh and cheers for the 6 easy points manu hahahaha BLUE MOON RISING
by Karl on February 12, 2008
All clubs attempting to land Villa can peacefully dream on. His agent says that he wouldnt mind a move to the premiership... but NEWSFLASH! Valencia own Villa... i would go into the price of his buy out clause but i wouldnt want to shatter any dreams over the internet. Villa will stay and play for Valencia for a good 3-4 more years. You have seen the harsh ways Valencia have been dealing with matters.. Villa will be far from an easy buy and the most likely option is that if a club would purchase him he would break their bank. Im only suggesting that teams wouldnt want this to happen:)
Just goes to show...Montenegro plays for Independiente. Sheesh. Like I say, everyone is an expert on Tevez now, right, and every foreign player they never watch except on highlight shows, LOL. Sheesh. Anyway, what about Palacio? Great defender for Rosario Central.

yid-flid. say no more.
by LazerBLue on February 12, 2008
funny how evryone was saying what a donkey SVEN is buying all these unknown players from videos. now you are all saying they were'nt unknownbut it is unfair that sven made up his mind and bought them sorreee NOT
by AG on February 12, 2008
Jay, Keep laughing you idiot. A certain team at Old Trafford used to throw that out at City "not won nothing in last 30 yrs" etc. That was until we rammed it back down their throats last Sunday. We're going to be at Anfield a bit later in the year. Fancy a bit of the same?
by mcfc on February 13, 2008
like city r going to david villa this website is f*** s***e
by Jessica on February 13, 2008
every time we get linked with a player for some strange reason so does man city coincidence i dont think so. Sven should build a team of his own not constantly targeting the same players we want
by Spurs jokers on February 13, 2008
No doubt he will see who Spurs are going after and try to steal them as he did with Martin Petrov !! Four eyed ugly bloke of a thief !
you fucking plum are you serious?!?! And Jessica!! If anything with the success of Svens signings so far think it's the other way round you moron
by Katya's friend on February 13, 2008
Sorry Jessica: did you want Gelson then? Castillo? Bojinov? Caicedo? Garrido? Corluka? Ajax finally admitted Sven made an offer for Huntelaar in January, but they are in a heck of a fight with four teams (PSV are well gone) to get into europse and said come back later...were you after him too then? Wagner Love CSKA, same thing...he on your radar? Were you also trying to get Podolski in January?
