Arsenal man Eboue in £8m AC Milan exit
Trying to carve Patrice Evra in two on Saturday was the final straw. If the price is right, would Arsene Wenger offload the Ivorain?

Arsenal fans are not exactly enamoured by Ivorian Emmanuel Eboue right now. His attitude as well as loss of form have made him something of a villain at the club.
Now it appears that both AC Milan and Juventus have been enquiring about his services (Sky Sports). The 24-year-old has been patchy at best this season and the weakest link at the club at worst.
His attempt to split Patrice Evra into two didn’t exactly help the Gunners' cause on Saturday. Whilst Eboue is by no means a donkey he doesn’t seem to quite fit in with the level of talent at the Emirates, and now it is beginning to show more than ever.
Arsene Wenger doesn’t suffer fools gladly and if he doesn’t improve, a move to Serie A could beckon, although one would have to wonder why either AC or Juve would deem his services to be good enough for their needs.
It is no coincidence that Eboue's appearances have conincided with the team's loss of form. He was present at the horror show at Middlesbrough and had an off-day at Newcastle as well as at Old Trafford. Surely Arsenal fans will lose little sleep if he left.

Eboue has irritated too many people with his attitude and poor showing, Wenger will know this for sure and i am confident he will leave in the summer. Along with Lehmann, Hoyte and Gilberto.

Not fit to wear the shirt and never has been!

£8 million is not enough, Arsenal should pay more than that!

AC Milan? Juventus? You're having a laugh. More like Wigan or Fulham. It's easy to sell Arsenal players, there will be desperate teams queueing up for an ex-gunner, but if you think it'll be one of the giants, you're mistaken. He'll be a big swoop for a small time club like Bolton or Wigan who love any player who's got Premiership experience. Just have a look at their summer signings.

nice one davio... adding to that, I'll be the first to donate money for the transfer, provided we get a replacement.

I don't know too many Arsenal fans that would shed any tears at Eboue's departure,£8 million and an effective Carlos Vela would do nicely.

If a bloke offered me 5 Kinder eggs and a broken toaster for Eboué, I'd bite his hand off. Emmanuel Eboué brings shame on our great club. Get him out now.
by Jim Clarke on February 18, 2008
Please Arsene Wenger, show Eboue where the door is. I think he should be used as a makeweight in a transfer deal to bring into the club the best potential midfielder in the League; a certain Diarra who is playing his socks of for Portsmouth

Eboue waz once impressive even though he wasnt all dat. But now he has proven to be a real amateur, i think it will be a gain to arsenal to loose him.

...........And someone tell me how many assists he has amassed so far as a winger.Sagna has more.Useless Eboue.

I agree eboue is a more than a bit of histronics with untimely+terrible tackles but now that we know our fringe players are not upto it, we need a player who will wait on the bench... flamini is a full time DM now.. We need a player who will play out of position...

everyone is forgetting what a good right back he is... he was great last season... hoyte is SHIT so Eboue is exactly what we need as a number 2 to Sagna... HE IS A GREAT RIGHT BACK>>> We need sumone like him... He is a King!!! I love him!! C'mon Eboue!!!

I for one think that Eboue has been a very effetive a decent player. Arsenal have always needed a player of his ilke in the team, even if it is only to highlight those around him. He's quick can play a decnt first time pass and when on his game can go past anyone. Least we forget that it was his rebound that Bendtner screwed over the bar at Liverpool.

u donno the arse from the hole in the ground. eboue is still finding his feet, and bouts of devastating wing play were already present so please stop taking short cuts from thinking.
In any case he should have scored....rebounds don't fetch points

The only thing I agree with in your article is that Eboue's antics can be really annoying at times, everything else is inaccurate. His understanding with Sagna down the right makes our right hand side very strong in both directions; he can easily cover at right back when Sagna overlaps and he adds power & pace to our midfield quartet when he plays. I will select him over Rosicky in an Arsenal strongest eleven that is playing 4-4-2. He is our best crosser of the ball; something he added to his armoury last season after Henry spoke to him about it. I also like his fighting spirit even though he can over do it sometimes. I implore you to pay particular attention to his football without any of the pre-conceived notions about him and observe the way he raids down the right hand side whenever he plays. He is not flashy but he is a lot skilful than people realise. You also say that his appearances coincide with our performances against Borough and Newcastle but you conveniently chose to ignore his role in our excellent first half performance at Villa Park. I also remember him cutting through the Chelsea defence on a number of occasions at the Emirates this season. With regards to him splitting Evra in 2, I thought he was unlucky because he was looking at the football the whole time. Eboue getting sent off on Saturday or not would not have made one iota of difference; based on our performance, we had lost that match before it began. All I am saying is, the guy is not a bad footballer at all and don't blame him for all Arsenal's ills. I would like him to calm down a bit though and try applying a bit of accuracy rather than raw power whenever he has a sight of the goal.
All in all I agree we people starting to find sense in what they are saying, unlike the early bandwagon banter. Eboue can't play when he has a player right up his arse, as Evra played him on Saturday. His frustrations then spill out and he makes a giant nipple of himself, hence the rolling around and the being hit by missles etc. When he has the time and space to work he can perform wonders. To close I have two points, firstly this is his first season as a midfielder and has performed well. Also He has just returned from the ACN, in which he played every game for IC. that is more football than any other Arsenal player before Saturday so a break is well deserved ( and not the 3 matches he'll recieve as a ban!!) Also he smashed the bar at the home against Chavski last season as well. That was awesome!
Eboue is a cheat! He cheated in the Champions League final and hasn't stopped since..... He cheated his team mates who needed a rest for the big game on Wendesday...He is embarrasing the praying, the not going off... No goals ... Didn't help Hoyte one bit on Saturday.... The only thing he has done for Arsenals title race is broke John Terry's foot. I would rather play with ten men all game than have him show Arsenal up like he does.

Emma would definately be a more than decent #2 RB to Sagna but the question is would he want to be? i think if he doesnt want to be #2RB then he should get the hell out! he's a rubbish RM, very irresponsible, undisciplined, and inneffective. i think we'll see a better Walcott next season and will move ahead of eboue in the pecking order. Eboue out, Dimitrov in!
by damilola abdulrahaman on February 18, 2008
to be honest eboue is not that bad he is quick on the ball people are critising him too much
Eboue is an embaressment to Arsenal football club, to himself, to the fans, to the ex players (Adams, Storey, etc), to the 9,000 supporters who paid good money on Saturday, To Arsene. But it's okay because he can run quick with the ball??????

At £8m Wenger will surely snap their hands off. One of 4 players I believe we need rid off.
by Man United Killa on February 19, 2008
Eboue is not bad but he is a better full back than a winger.guys please lets show some love.
by kobe othello on February 19, 2008
whoever wrote this article must be watching football from black and white tv, coz u dnt knw wht u are saying and the rest that followed ur article saying eboue is nt good enough for arsenal, eboue is still arsenal best right back wenger only bought sagna bcoz of african nation cup,hav u forgetten what a god right back he was when he was playing there marked man u so called best player out of the game more than one occasion, ronaldinho, robinho, and whoever u think he played against well playing right back for arsenal. too finish this hw was voted the best right back the season arsenal got to the champions league final

Eboue is an average right back and an average right winger. Arsenal should never settle for average. To the guy who thinks Sagna was brought in just for the ACN. Sorry mate, he can actually defend. Eboue is a shocking RB with absolutely no positional sense. He affected us by making Toure work twice as hard to cover his failings as well. Sagna is our number one there. As for right wing, give me a break, there are a hundred players we could get to give us the 1 in 5 good performances he produces. Eboue is a double threat; I don't like him personally or the way he plays. Barazite will be our cover to Hleb next season, and maybe Wenger will buy cover at right back or use Gilbert as cover...bye, bye Hoyte as well, average too!!!

The only way I want Eboue in one line mentioned with Milan is that he was sold to them. We can't afford a pla
