Is it possible that there is not a single player on the planet not already linked with a move to White Hart Lane? I think not!
Well here are, yet more targets to add to the ever-growing list created in no small part by the media’s ability to just make stuff up out of thin air! Here is a quick run through of the targets in the papers today and my thoughts of the possibility of the move happening.
Diego Capel – £10m from Seville (various) – Quite possible.
Steve Mandanda – £2.5m from Marseille (The People) – A decent purchase but not a long term solution.
David Villa – £25m from Valencia (various – literally everywhere) – Unlikely to happen unless Dimitar Berbatov leaves.
Ricardo Quaresma – £20m from Porto (various, and yes still doing the rounds) – Is there a single club known to man that the winger has not been linked with?
Charles N’Zogbia – £8m from Newcastle (The Guardian) – This rumour has legs and I can see it happening.
Peter Crouch – £12m from Liverpool (Daily Mail) – Could he return to White Hart Lane after an absence of seven years? Stranger things have happened, but not recently!

With the greatest respect, Mark... it's actually you on this website who is proliferating all these stories and particularly unfounded rumours... everyday, over and over and over and over again. It's gotten far beyond tiresome now.

Mark, come on chief, if you're gonna report on a load of tabloid tripe ast least do it properly!!! You've forgotten this lot off your so-called "Super Spend": Jarque, Almeria, Milito, Diego, Sidwell, Bridge, Gamst-Pedersen, Benzema, James and Alves are all on Spurs wanted list too! So it should read "Spurs in £200m Super Spend"... what a load of bollocks!

Sorry mark, but you brought all this crap on your head with your pathetic stories. Everyday some crap story comes from this site and it's, low and behold, written by you. This has to be the one of the worst sites on the net. You gotta get a life mate.

For all the people complaining...unless someone is holding you at gunpoint forcing you to read the articles on this site, why are you complaining?. I had an idea..it might work for ya, i dunno...when your on newsnow and the headline catches your eye, look at the site name. If it says Sportingo..tread this way you should not. For me they fill a few minutes of my day is all.

...Newsnow is starting to get flooded with this rubbish. I used to use the same avoidance tactic as my policy for Teamtalk, but sites like this start a trend where you really can publish any old crap and churn the stories out ten to the dozen. In effect, it's the same thing as junkmail in an email account, and it's an entirely possible eventuality that Newsnow becomes redundant due to sites like this springing up and publishing a torrent of crap for the sake of hits. I would suggest that however ridiculous the comments may be, most of them are more valid than the articles themselves.

I can see the situation in quite the opposite. If Berbatov stays, it would give a hint to others, that Spurs are really going up now. And maybe just that could lure David Villa into spurs. And think about that pair, Berbatov and Villa. Pure dominance...

Hello Mr Mark, I dont like trawling the broad sheets the red tops or any other media, except TV when you see the player in the shirt outside the club with the manager. I like newsnow but you still have to look at every story where as you just sum up all transfer news in one article, thank you. and may you always get kicked off the 19 bus. p.s. was at the espanyol v sevilla game and the ref ruined the game pp.s you are the messenger so they will put you against the wall
by tomas dio on March 08, 2008
He is considered as one of the best french goalkeeper, quite young, so it can be a long term solution but he is not available : just firmed with Marseille a 4 year contract.
