With Celtic seemingly attempting to lure Bolton’s Finnish keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen to Parkhead, it has led many to discuss how his predicted arrival will affect current No.1 Artur Boruc who appeared to be staying at the club.

Arsenal are now reportedly monitoring the situation (various) with a view to bringing the Polish goalkeeper to the Emirates. Manuel Almunia has proved an able first choice keeper but that doesn’t mean Arsene Wenger won’t want to sign someone else, especially with Jens Lehmann on his way out.

It's unlikely that both Boruc and Jaaskelainen can kept happy if one of them isn't getting a game at the Glasgow club – they are both too good to play second fiddle, therefore it seems inevitable that Boruc will be on his way.

There has been much speculation over his future and if he does finally decide to leave Scotland then it will have to be for a club where he will be first choice, which could be bad news for Almunia having more or less seen off Lehmann
