Juande Ramos wants to shape the Spurs team into his own and has begun to do so with the recent additions in January.
The question is, who will remain part of the Spaniard's plans and which Martin Jol left-overs will he deemed dispensable. With this in mind, I have come up with a list of players who, in my opinion, should be made secure and those who I feel are surplus to requirements.
Players who should STAY:
Dimitar Berbatov
Robbie Keane
Gareth Bale
Steed Malbranque
Aaron Lennon
Jamie O’Hara
Kevin Boateng
Ledley King
Adel Taarabt
Players who should LEAVE:
Pascal Chimbonda
Darren Bent
Didier Zokora
Young-Pyo Lee
Michael Dawson
Ricardo Rocha
Hossam Ghaly
Paul Stalteri
Borderline:
Paul Robinson
Teemu Tainio
Radek Cerny
Jermian Jenas
Tom Huddlestone
Younes Kaboul
I would be happy to hear the opinions of fellow Spurs fans, whether you agree with me or otherwise.

But i think that Jenas is safe to stay and you may be too kind on Robbo! But pretty much what i would go for.
by Bob Upndown on February 21, 2008
why would dawson be ready for leaving, up until this season been a very good performer for us, the lack of a decent centre half alongside him has made him look poor, apart from that fair do's
by Ollie Leach on February 21, 2008
I think it's naive to say dawson should go. he just had an off patch at the start of the season. i think the past two seasons have proved he's quality. Quite how you can say Huddles is borderline is odd as well... he's young and extremely talented. a good combination i'd say
by Ben Rossiter on February 21, 2008
Any chance for Woodgate never even got a mention.
by Karl Hart on February 21, 2008
Not far out although I think Dawson and Zakora still have futures at the club but Ledley King clearly doesn't!!!!!
by Coda Vaughn on February 21, 2008
Sorry, has the writer followed spurs these last couple of seasons?? Why would you let Dawson, one of you most consistent players over the last couple of seasons, go?? Robbo has been damn consistent until this season. How many points has he won us over the last couple of years. Still class and needs to be restored to no.1 Jenas and Huddlestone borderline? Jeans gets you almost 10 goals a season, and Huddlestone is just as good as carrick on the ball. Both are finally showing their potential under Ramos, and yet they are borderline compared to Boateng who looks more adapt at playig rugby! (yes he's only 20, young player of the year blah blah blah but put him back in the reserves if you're gonna keep him) Bent and Zokora?? Yes, lets judge bent on what, half a season, when he consistently has scored when playing regulary in a shit team over 2 years. As for zokora, bit of liability, but decent squad player. Same with Kaboul, give him time, he will come good, maybe in defensive mid. As for O'hara, the boy has had 2 good months, could be our darren fletcher, but will he ever be great?? If anyone is borderline it is him. Sorry, think this article is way off the mark

I read as far as "Kevin Boateng should stay" before I realised you were an idiot with absolutely no football nous whatsoever.
by T DS on February 21, 2008
You are an idiot how can you have dawson to go, and jenas borderline. Both young and quality players. Don't be so fickle last season Daws was one of our most consistant performers. Remember whoever goes has to be replaced and who can we attract when we're not in the champions league.
by Jimmy Brown on February 21, 2008
What a load of rubbish! You'd rather keep possibly the worst player in our current team, Boateng, and get rid of Dawson who before this season was one of the best players! Also Jenas and Huddlestone are definatley worht holding on to, and Tiano proves he's a very useful player time and time again! Yet Taraabt who we have seen only glimpses of is a shoe in to stay! Do me a favour please!
by Wanstar wanny on February 21, 2008
Thank God you're not the manager!! There's just no thought in that.
by t k on February 21, 2008
your suggesting we keep tainio before we keep zokora!! ridiculous! And as for getting rid of Dawson also,..your a twit
by Corrupted Mind on February 21, 2008
So in your "spring clean" you're looking to get rid of over 50% of the squad? Perhaps funnier is the fact that Jenas (our best player since Ramos came) and Hudd (another first team player) are "borderline". - Quite clearly you know what you're talking about!!!
by owen steve on February 21, 2008
when did you write this column last summer?,hutton and woodgate not on list
by martin smith on February 21, 2008
What about Woodgate, Hutton, Gilberto
by matt walters on February 21, 2008
Jenas is a defo stayer he's been one of our best midfielders this season and has been one of the main reasons we've finished top 5 last 2 seasons. Also Daws and Thudd are defo keepers with both being young and have potential even if daws is having a rocky patch at present. Get rid of Boateng to.
Where exactly do all these websites with uninformed and daft articles keep coming from? How many spurs blogs can there be that are written by people who clearly do not follow the team??
by JIMMY NAIL on February 21, 2008
i think we should sell.. berba, keane, king and woodgate and play kaboul up front wih lee at centre half. i really think this would work
by Jaunde Ramos Ramos on February 21, 2008
Don't worry fellow yids, big changes this summer, i don't have the team i want yet, its about half right but yet half wrong if you get my natchos,
by Wanstar One on February 21, 2008
Players to go: Stalteri, Ghaly and Rocha. Players we need to keep desperatley: The rest of the squad, We're building a team here mate! As for Dawson, he's young and will get better the more he plays along with King and Woodgate. Boateng, has not been impressive so far, but we should give him some time. The only reason i can see for you writing this artical was to start and argument/debate. i hope that's true, because otherwise you obviosly have no clue and should stay away from writing such b******s!
by Akhtar Ajktar on February 21, 2008
Zakora has a defenite role to play in a more defensive position than midfield. Jenas to stay for another season which might allow him to establish his class credentials IF he strikes and maintains a consistent level of high performance. Prince Boateng to go after 08/09 if he doesnt calm down and make a constructive rather than a destructive contribution. Robinson, Chimbonda and Bent to go at end 07/08
by White Wizard on February 21, 2008
Dawson has been a rock until this season - if he works on his concentration he has a great future. Hudd is a superb passer and if he can learn to impose himself, he can be more than just a gentle giant!
by james gill on February 21, 2008
Dawson, Zokora, Kaboul should all be staying. your saying o'hara should stay, but you have to think, hes only just broke into the 1st team, and hes 21? thats not great. chimbonda should stay, hes better than hutton. also, jenas has been one of our best players this season, especialy since the arrival of ramos, and your saying hes borderline?? Thudd has been filling in at centre back and has proved useful, aswell as being the only midfielder in our team who can pick a pass. do u even woch spurs? or are u just taking advice from west ham and arsenal fans?
by YID FOREVER VILLA MAGIC on February 21, 2008
Everytime i vist this site in the hope of some sense, i get absolute C**P!!!! Sportingo close yourself down you talk s**T COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!!!
by Matt Collingwood on February 21, 2008
Your a Spurs Fan eh ! Then why would you get rid of Zokora, he has proven he can cover centre back very well, and has always been good in his midfield role ? Jenas is a) a massive English talent and b) in the form of his career earning an England call up so how that makes him borderline, obviously only you know !!? Darren Bent ! Ok so suffering in confidence granted, but the mans ability has been proven in a less than average Charlton side, and if you can look that strong and prolific in a side with mediocre players around you then there must be something special about him, I think he has found life hard and deserves more time to bed down. The Hudd !? What a range of passing this man has, everytime he comes on he does a job, and more often than not a great one. Kaboul, again needs time but the sparkle is there, chips in with goals and clearly loves the club, i think he deserves more time, you don’t get into a French national side of any bracket by being cr@p, the exhuberance of youth is all that needs taming and then weve got another diamond. You also want to keep Boateng......Why, his passing is sloppy, his vision requires Specsavers, his shooting is right up there with Jonny Wilkinson and his tackling is not very good, he can go and will not be missed. To be successful in the premie league you need a strong squad, not just a team, you need 2 quality players for every position. Eliminating some of the players, especially the homegrowns you have stated is just stupidity as they quite clearly are superb and able to push this club forward, A dodgy start to this season does not justify a mass cull. The English talent we have is of a very high calibre in the league and most have got call ups to England in some form by u21’s or senior, this is something that should be held up high with pride, nurtured and retained at all costs, because compared to the Goons down the road we are the shining light for the national teams future and they are an embarrassment and the nucleus of whats wrong with foreign importation. There certainly is deadwood at spurs, but Sportingo has definitely got its sums wrong on this one ! Spurs Forever !!!
Jenas should stay too. His goals from midfield are valuable, he has a great engine and a good attitude and has done enough under Ramos to show that he's worth a place in next season's squad.

It is the most useless site in the history of website written by people who have no idea about football. Im annoyed that im responding but you talk such sh*** that you need telling. Shut the site!!!!!!!
