Former Spurs man admits he’s useless
At first it seemed that Mido had finally accepted what most of us already knew - only now he has illusions of being another Marco van Basten!

Ahmed Mido has finally come to the conclusion that many people made some time ago - that he is useless. However, before any Spurs and Middlesbrough fans rejoice, his claims only relate to his post-injury form and not his entire footballing career.
Boro's Egyptian international said: “I had a chat with the gaffer two weeks ago and told him I wanted to do my best to get back in the side and that meant regaining full fitness. I didn’t want to play when I was not fit because I was going to be useless for the team.” (Daily Star)
Anyone doubting the ability of Mido, or indeed questioning the £6m that Gareth Southgate spent for the former Roma man, is probably well aware that he has managed an awesome tally of THREE league goals since March 2006.
Worryingly, the 24-year old striker completed his interview by saying of his overhead kick against Sheffield United:“I thought I was Marco van Basten for a moment!'' Time for a call to the local funny farm?

this site's been getting properly slated lately, and rightly so, wha t with the ridiculously hyperbolic headlines. bit this is a much better article,... funny and well written. but Mido should be mentioned in the headline imo only gripe i have with it is that

Mido is a quality player, who although is prone to carrying a little weight from time to time is blatantly Middlesbrough's best player. Especially compared to Aliadiare, who is probably one of the least talented strikers i have seen at any level! Not Van Basten, but not useless by any stretch!!

If you all think that this website is rubbish than why are you visiting it. Im a Spurs fan and even i can say that Hossom Ahmed Mido is a quality player nuff said. Come one you spurs for tonight and on sunday with our Carling Cup Final clash against Chelsea.

You know both Mido and Ghaly are talented. What they really needed was a regime like Ramos has imposed to develop the pair of them. I think one of the mistakes Jol made was with not getting rid of some of the backroom staff.

Mido is a quality player and would still be at spurs if it wasn't for berbatov! anyone who say's otherwise obviously has not seen him play!
