Man United star's mega pay demand shocker
Wes Brown wants to double his money at Old Trafford, but is he really worth £65,000 a week?

Today’s big question: How much is Wes Brown really worth? £5,000 a week? £31,000 (his current remuneration package – with another £10,000 on top every time he plays}? £55,000 a week, which is what he is being offered to stay at the club where he has been since he was a kid?
Or the £65,000 a week his agent is demanding before Wezza signs on the dotted line? Anyone who watched his miserable performance for England against Switzerland recently might argue he’s not worth 65 bob a week.
But now Brown is threatening to walk away from Manchester United in the summer and join anyone bonkers enough to pay him silly money – that means Newcastle United, then.
And if he does go, his ears will still be ringing from the slapping he took from Sir Alex Ferguson yesterday (The Sun, Daily Mail and everyone else).

It is totally unbelievable that Wes Brown gets 40,000 per week now. He is very limited with his distribution skills and gets away with dubious tackles because he is a Utd player. What on Earth has he to justify 6 grand per day--it is ludicrous, soccer has gone mad. Fergie is correct the agents are a plague on the face of the land.

i don't think anybody really knows the actual numbers, i hope he stays he can cover at both right back and centre back. he has done well for united and they pay his wages, how he performs for england is not the issue! i don't really care what he gets paid, i don't have to pay it!!!

I'd rather a lad that's been with us since his schoolboy days get the money than an overweight lard merchant like Rooney. How else is he ever gonna afford the prawn sandwiches once he has retired?
