Let's face it, even the fans of the big four will have had just about enough of the over-exposure their clubs receive. It's almost as though the remaining 16 teams are just making up the numbers.
Now it is the supposed lesser team fans' turn to take a shot at stardom. We want your thoughts on players outside the top four who could give Wayne Rooney, Cesc Fabregas, Dider Drogba and Steven Gerrard a run for their money.
We are inviting Sportingo readers to choose an XI made up from teams outside the big four. You may want to nominate a player in your team who you feel is capable at eating at the Champions League table.
To help you get started here is a list of possible selections (you can even cut and paste to the Comments section):
Aston Villa – Gabriel Agbonlahor; Blackburn – Morten Gamst Pedersen, David Bentley, Brad Friedel; Everton – Mike Arteta, Tim Cahill; Manchester City – Micah Richards, Richard Dunne, Benjani; Portsmouth – Sulley Muntari, Jermain Defoe, David James; Tottenham – Dimitar Berbatov, Jonathan Woodgate; West Ham – Mark Noble, Robert Green.
The players nominated most will make up a Sportingo All Star XI so please select and submit.

dd nearly got it. Lets face it they have beaten Arseanal (unlucky in the league as well) and Chavski whilst Liverpool and Man Utd both got a draw in injury time against them. So not far off really.

So now Spurs fan will think they are the best team in the world for the next 25 years because they won a cup! You did good and won a cup, but get over it, you are making a fool out of yourself! It's the mickey mouse cup you won and not the champions League FFS!

My chosen players would be: Blackburn: McCarthy, Friedel, Pedersen, Bentley Bolton: Nolan Everton: Yakubu, Arteta, Cahill, Lescott Villa: Young, Agbonlahor, Barry Portsmouth: James, Campbell, Muntari, Defoe, Kranjcar Man City: Richards, Elano, Petrov, Johnson West Ham: Noble, Ashton, Upson Tottenham: Dawson, King, Woodgate, Hutton, Jenas, Berbatov, Lennon, Keane. Although i'm a Fulham fan i see Spurs being a big threat to the top 4, they have quality players and under Ramos i think they will be up there next season.

think you'll find the Spurs comments are little tong in cheek matey. Don't think you'll find either that they think they are the best team in the world, but they will celebrate and be cheeky and they will not forget one day after it happenned. So get over it fella.

Just as a matter of interest, are you a teenager? That's the only reason I can think of for the ommission of the subtle brilliance of Robbie Keane. Instead you have the more 'spectacular finishers' but obviously not on the same level Defoe, Benjani and... wait for it... it's a real sidesplitter... Morten Gamst Pederson! You don't think a guy with 20 goals in Feb and the player who scored and assisted more goals than ANY player in England in 2007 deserves to make the list? And how about Bale, Hutton and KING. The credibility of this site gets ever lower.
