A typically explosive tabloid story is doing the rounds today. Striker Fernando Torres has said that he would be more than happy to stay at Liverpool for the rest of his career, but only if they start to win trophies (The Sun).
Now this in confusing and it makes you wonder aboutg the tiuming of this sudden committment. Or, more importantly, whether this statement has any basis in fact.
One thing is for sure - Torres is in excellent form and seems to love nothing more than hitting the back of the net in a Liverpool shirt. He has already shown doubters that his high fee was well worth every penny.
In many ways he is keeping the club on track right now. One can only imagine where the'd be if you took away his impressive goal tally. Worry not Reds fans.

Just a quick journalistic observation....Isn't it better to base a story on evidence...perhaps a player quote?..a quote from an agent? Instead you have lifted a quote from a fellow hack essentially saying Torres is enjoying scoring goals for liverpool. Where on earth did you get your headline?? Very poor indeed chaps...I presume you don't get paid to write for this site

once again the usual gubbins, and I bet its come from one of the three stooges (i.e the Custis Brothers or Rob Beasley), these so called journos should have rocks thrown at them....I bet they put all this under an "EXCLUSIVE" as well...these guys are scumbags and just make things up on a daily basis.

You are in agreement with the writer, he is saying the same thing, Torres is going nowhere, i think thats the point clearly made at the end of the piece! Why not read it first!

Are you nuts? Clearly not a Liverpool fan, why else would you quote from the Sun??? You complete muppet. Have you any self respect? You make me sick, this is a pathetic article.

This is shoddy reporting, the facts have been twisted to suit sensationalism. Torres actually said he wants to win medals/trophies with Liverpool not win or I'm off like whats reported here. The quote was not in an interview withe the sun but on the offical Liverpool F.C. site, so to see the actual interview I suggest you read it there. This is not the first time Sportingo have gotten it wrong and I'm sure it won't be the last.

not really a "shock" though is it? he is a player capable of winning trophies!

Guy, can I quote the line that the Sun has picked this from? I believe it went, from a recent Torres interview "I would love to stay at Liverpool for my whole career and win trophies." What a joke the Sun is.
