“F*** it, that's football,” is what Arsenal's Eduardo says about the horrific tackle that might have ended his career. And you have to admire the Brazilian-born Croatian striker for his candour and honesty as he faces nine months out of the game.
After all that has been said about the sickening events at Birmingham on Saturday, the Gunners' No.9 doesn't seem to bear any grudge against City defender Martin Taylor who put him in hospital where surgeons fought to save his foot from being amputated (various).
Talking about the incident Eduardo said: “F**k it, that's life in football.” Which just shows how classy and generous the forward has been throughout the last few days of madness where many crazy statements have been made and then retracted.
Eduardo continued: "I forgive Martin. It hurt like hell but I'm fine now. I know he didn't do it on purpose. I was horrified when I saw how my leg looked at first and wondered how it would all end. But I will be back."

I wish him a speedy recovery. He will be sorely missed. Arsenal forever.

What I wanna know (and I may have missed this since saturday) is what are the FA saying about this? I can completely appreciate that the injury the Dudu wasn't intentional. But you can bet that Mcleish told his players to "get stuck in from the start" and that led to Taylor doing what he did. If I hit someone in my car while driving too fast then I get into trouble. The same way that i believe that if someone raises their studs in a match and injures someone else then something must be done!!!

Another word for arsenal fc, their players, and their fans ? CLASS !!!! A dirty word in a certain part of manchester, and as we witnessed over since the weekend, in a dingy part of birmingham too .. seems in both cities, the class is at other ends of town. Nice one, dudu .. true class and true steel is forgiving, not practicing/preaching violence, and transfering your aggression to dertermination to get fit again. Our thoughts are with you, and we are confident you will make it.

Ban Taylor for the rest of the season for the tackle?! Are you stupid? Things like this happen in football just like Eduardo said. It was horrible, but Taylor never intended it to happen, it was a genuine attempt attempt to win the ball that Eduardo stopped with some quick feet. You could tell by the look on Taylor's face thier was no intent to hurt Eduardo...he was distraught! Just want to point out im not a Arsenal or Birmingham fan, im a Stoke fan...and we are going up! Get well soon Eduardo!
