McGeady's dilemma: Glory with Celtic or big money in England?
The talented winger if good enough for the English Premier League, but what about a few more trophy years in Scotland first?

I'm really putting myself up for a major slagging here. Unlike most English football fans, I watch Scottish football constantly and there is, at this moment, a young man who is shining through and looking down from on high on the rest of the Scottish Premier League.
Celtic's Aiden McGeady has everything you could ever want in a wide player. Mesmerisingly quick with nimble feet, pace, composure, outrageous tricks, and now a finish to all of his wizardry.
The SPL is already wasted on him at 21 years of age. It is also very dangerous for him. The ease with which he bamboozles players and makes fools of them brings out a very nasty and jealous streak in his opposite numbers.
The only true tests he has to pass in Scotland are playing in Old Firm matches and Champions League outings, but it's not enough. He has some extremely important decisions to make.

McGeady has come on leaps and bounds this season. So much so that when he gets the ball now, a lot of the time he gets surrounded by several opposition players. He's learned a lot, but what he needs to learn now is that it is much more beneficial for the team if he passes to a team mate when hemmed in by the opposition, and beat men when he is one on one. I agree with every word of this article by Gerald McLaughlin. He obviously has an eye for talent!

I will save you the dilemina question Gerald. He should go to England because the glory days with Celtic are finished. Sir Walter is back and Strap-on will be handing back our league trophy.

McGeady isn't good enough. I don't get how taking 100 mini-steps before kicking a ball equals composure. The disabled kid that used to live down my street did that. As for "outrageous tricks", I don't think doing a step-over can be classed as a trick nowadays, but something simple that a 14 year old can do.
