This Tottenham squad is equipped for greatness!
It's too late this season, but under Juande Ramos Spurs look more than capable of challenging for a Champions League spot next term.

Are Tottenham sufficiently well equipped for a serious Champions League push? The answer to this is a resounding YES.
I have only ever looked on the Spurs squad with utter jealousy. As an Evertonian, the principle of hard work has largely got us where we are, so much so that players like Lee Carsley are almost as important to us as Mikel Arteta.
In this season's race for fourth spot in trhe Premier Ledague, our trump card is the fact that we have a galvanized and cohesive unit prepared to fight with passion. And the Toffees squad this season is far stronger than the 2004-05 team that beat Liverpool to fifth place.
A paper-thin squad propelled by determined personalities like Alan Stubbs, Kevin Kilbane, Marcus Bent and Lee Carsley – yes, that spine - as well as a fair shot of skill and technique from Thomas Gravesen and then Arteta got Everton to fourth place.A quick look at Tottenham’s squad reveals that even though the much maligned Martin Jol may have fed his men a woefully poor diet, he was on the right track by gobbling up a hearty slice of the young talent on offer (although Damien Comolli had a hand in a few of these too).

"The well mentioned fact that if it wasn’t for some ropey rancid lasagnas Jol would have guided his men to a Premier League finish above Arsenal is also worth mentioning." Stop trying to deprive me of credit by my ordering Spurs to play while ill instead of postponing the game

Hohoho Mr Conway - McScumpants... Capello has no faith in Everton, your own fans have no faith either... Still not sure how you've managed to bluff your way into 5th place but I'm sure there will be a stewards enquiry! ;)

I think it is great that Everton are close to breaking down the wall that surrounds the big four. Totally deserved and on such a tight budget. Let's hope Spurs join them in that battle next season and beyond.

I don't know about "Equipped for Greatness" but we are on a par with Barnsley.

To predict greatness is very stupid. Both Everton and Spurs have had good league finishes one season then the next failed to live up to expectations. The one thing both teams lack is a couple more quality players and overall consistancy.

Mr. Bottomley you are spot on. Its good to see a supporter who doesn't have blinkered vision for just their own club. Spurs should be pushing l'pool for 4th next season if their yank owners remain in place but don't discount Villa who should spend massively over the summer. Everton need to spend big too. You have to keep pace with your rivals. If QPR make it to the prem watch out as well!

Re: Richard Scudamore – he was having lunch at the time with David Dein, when the call came through asking if Spurs could postpone the game…”what do you think David, shall we allow them to postpone the match or make them play it now?”
Yeah finished 5th twice then where are we now you retard? stick to the beastiality websites and not sites where supporters of other clubs can see you as a spurs fan!

I went to white heart lane to watch tottenham and they were not very good. They reminded me of the pie I bought which was not very good too.Berbatov is very good that i must say but he should be playing for a better team.I've got to go now as I'm off to the zoo to see the monkeys.

The most easily offended are the weak....and the weak will always be the religious.Their faith does'nt stregnthen them for this world causing them to be very easily offended when the truth of reality touches them....sorry I mean they get DEEPLY OFFENDED.As we look around football we see daily the religious footballer cheating and feigning and insulting his religion.Religion feeds the EGO,thats why religious organizations mutilate their newborn.

I love listening to these rather deluded fans. If you can remember, Tottenham had to apologise to the hotel they blamed for poisoning them, once it was proven that nothing untoward came from the kitchens at that fine establishment! And to actually tell someone they are wrong, and that you are consistent (fifth twice, fifth twice), is ridiculous. What would the truly GREAT spurs players of the past (Greaves, Blanchflower, et al), say to that kind of thinking? You can write me off as an abusive Arsenal fan if you want, but as someone that admires entertaining football whereever it is played, i would say to all spurs fans, for once, back your manager for more than 2 seasons, allow a period of stability, and be patient, or you will continue to be the poor relations in London!

Although I dont like spurs a lot my favourite ever team is Watford but not just now because it is just now Bolton because they are playing nic football and trying hard but they are very unlucky and the other teams that they play are lucky. So if the other teams stop being lucky against bolton then i think bolton can make it to europe.

The problem that sportingo have is that they are not real football supporters but merely oxford graduates trying to make a buck out of the huge football market. They DO NOT understand the psyche of the fan and the NEED for a RANT now and again and the NEED to slag off viciously sometimes your opposition. They probably lounge around their office with loafers on and a cardigan draped around their shoulders.A pastel coloured cardigan at that.Ultimately they dont see any humour at all going on in these pages which MAKE the site.I told Barry Tripper to go and visit his friends the monkeys at the Zoo,equating his intelligence with that of the monkeys,he complained and the comment was removed a sad day indeed for sportingo. They will slowly lose their appeal due to such behavior and some more tolerant and football fan understanding site WILL take its place.Annonimity and abuse are an important ingredient for this site to relly work for the true football fans.Football FAN humour is amongst the funniest their is.
thank you some one with a bit of common sense, yes i do come on to talk football but i feel it is important to get any frustration with your teams preformance of your chest and it is funny to generally take the piss out of gooner wankers!!!!!!!!
