Recent results in the league have suggested that the turning point in Arsenal’s season was Martin Taylor’s assault on Eduardo at St Andrews on February 23.
There is a line of thought that claims the sickening challenge put seeds of doubt into the Arsenal players and has led to their dip in league form which now stands at four consecutive draws.
This does not take into consideration Arsenal’s brilliant performance over two legs against AC Milan, nor does it also suggest what may have been a more pivotal moment in the game against Birmingham.
