Spurs 4 Chelsea 4: Wasn't this the best Premier League match ever?
With eight goals, breakneck attacking flair and some touches of sublime skill, this was the game that had it all.

Wow, what a game! As a neutral I was thoroughly entertained but I guess if you supported either side, then the feeling of elation at witnessing such a game may have been tempered by the somewhat inept defending.
Chelsea needed a win to keep the pressure on the top two; Spurs needed the win to give their fans something to celebrate following some distinctly patchy post-Carling Cup form. Avram Grant and Juande Ramos looked to be warmly chatting away prior to the game, but maybe they were actually telling each other: “Look, let's not defend today and give the fans a spectacle!”
Wonder goals, non-stop, full-pelt attacking waves, last-ditch defending and some smart stops from both keepers made this game truly memorable. Yes, Spurs have managed such goal-fests already this season (4-4 at home to Villa for one). However, previous avalanches of goals involving Tottenham have revolved around pretty scary all-round displays. Last night, however, we saw two sides, pretty evenly matched on the pitch if not in the league table, giving it their all until the final whistle.
Time seemed to stand still as the pass to Robbie Keane hit Ricardo Carvalho on the back and the Spurs man decided ‘What the hell” and dispatched a perfect finish to the jubilation of the home fans. Chelsea fans had something to celebrate, though, as well. They have a far more entertaining brand of football to watch under Grant, and to be fair, the west London side are not out of the title picture yet, so no need to get too depressed.

It would have been the best game if Berba had won it in the last minute!!

Yeah yeah yeah lots of goals but the defending was dreadful. At least Jose's teams could defend. Are Chelsea fans really enjoying Grant's (don't you mean Abramovic's) attacking football? It won't win them anything if they keep conceding like this. Of courseAshley Cole should have been sent off for his tackle - and given an extra game off too, for that childish reaction. Its no wonder there's no respect in the country at large when these so-called role models (celebrities?) behave like spoilt brats towards any kind of authority. Did you notice Robbie Keane's twist on the petulance thing though? Normally players kick or get kicked & then prance around mouthing off to the ref, other players etc. Not Keane - he gets booked for being lippy, sticking his opinion in where its not required, THEN runs around kicking everyone he can catch for the next 10 minutes to show how upset he is. Best game ever? Joking, aren't you?

Good dive by a cheating Englishman!
If Englishmen are diving its only because they have been forced to by their foreign coaches! just remember one thing, diving was completely unheard of in the English game until the foreign invasion!
Francis Lee in the seventies was well known for his diving. Anyway how did Hud understand Ramos?
And I heard at Finsbury Park it measured 5.6 on the Richter scale!
Diving does not originate from English football, just like spitting at other players, play acting and all the other cheating tricks brought over from abroad! fact is the prem is now mainly populated by foreigners and if English players are resorting to these tactics, its only to compete with the rest!
English Players!!! Darren Bent is the nineteenth highest wage earner in WORLD football and he cost £16 Million was he a good buy????
What the hell has that got to do with diving and cheating and if you wanna bring that up, what about Shevchenko, he cost almost double what Bent did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And another little fact alot of people dont realise is that the actual figure Spurs paid Charlton for Bent is more like 10Mill, the rest is based on instalments, so should Spurs cash in on him for lets say 8mill with teams like West ham that are supposedly interested, the figure Spurs would lose out on would be something in the region of 2mill, which is a hell of alot less than what Chelsea will lose with Shevchenko!

it was awesome but i still preferred West Ham Vs Spurs last season when Stalteri scored a month into injury time.....priceless

Quality. On par with West Ham Game at there's, where Staltari nicked the winner.Better than the Arsenal 5-1, as Chelsea were at full strength.I'll be more than happy if either Arsenal or Chelsea fail in all competitions this season....We need to off load in the summer and bring in some new blood to bolster up the undoubted talent available at the Lane. Hopeful we'll accomplise next season what we were predicted to achieve in this.

"as Chelsea were at full strength" So were Arsenal (apart from unavailable players)

Although there is no doubting this was a scorcher of a game, I think the Aston Villa v. Chelsea 4-4 boxing day game was better because it had the lot; red cards, penalties and plenty of goals, as well as late drama.
by Luke Styles on March 22, 2008
It didn't have everything. The first half was boring, the second half was awesome! There wasn't penalties, red cards or Young Gun Jamie O'Hara out on the field =( Cause if he was Spurs would've won but all in all Second bst game of the season so far. (Liverpool 8-0 Besiktas was better)
(It meant to be Liverpool badge not Fulham)

Cuddicinni's save at the end kind of summed the night up best display of open attacking football ever with a little bit of other action to juice it up along the way.
