One of the footballing pleasures that we take from the summer (and the January transfer window) is speculating on how are team can be added to, what recalcitrant under-performers will be shipped out, and far more importantly who will be brought in.
Everton are in a tricky situation, whether or not we finish in fourth place doesn't change the fact that we need to buy more personnel to add to our shallow squad, especially if we get into fourth spot. Everton are very strong at the back, we have a number of players challenging for central defence – so many that Joleon Lescott is often shunted to left back, thereby sidelining Leighton Baines and Nuno Valente – right back is a position that could be filled though with Tony Hibbert and Phil Neville all too often aimlessly punting the ball up field to the ghost of Duncan Ferguson.
The Toffees also have the young star that is Jack Rodwell, rumours abound that the 17-year-old was trailed by Chelsea and Manchester United but Rodwell opted to stay at Goodison.
With loanees Manuel Fernandes and Thomas Gravesen unable to fit the bill in midfield we obviously need someone to fill that role, pulling the strings in the centre of the park and hanging from opposition throats when needs be.

while we may be strong in defence both hibbert and neville are not the right backs we need someone like baines, i get tired of watching them both give the ball away and put everton in trouble, why they can't pass to an everton player at least 75% of the time is unbelieveable we definitely need a quality right back, midfield again an area where we are weak at times, no class, no one able to hold the ball except arteta, we need a holding midfielder one with muscle and a creative midfielder to play alongside arteta, can i also add that osman despite moyes pleas is not good enough to play for his country, up front i agree johnson is not the man to lead everton, while he will run and run he cannot beat a defender with skill, he's way to light and is easily knocked off the ball, another bully like the yak would fit the bill until victor is ready to play and vaughn finally gets over his injuries that have jinxed him, at present i believe moyes as taken everton as far as they can go with the current squad and hopefully will be handed the money needed to add the world class players we need at everton

I wrote to Macca a few months ago,on the subject of coughing up a few spondulies for a new ground.and so far have had no reply, although he will be playing a concert at anfield...nuff said...As far as Aguero is concerned,he is the hottest property in spain at the moment, and he ain,t going nowhere, unless its Barça or Real / Milan.Tescos haven,t got that type of spare change, and Macca isn,t the bluenose he says he is...
