No cheer for the Cherries: Can Bournemouth dodge relegation?
A 10-point deduction and a lack of consistency has left them 14 points from safety. One fan lets us know where the club have gone wrong this season - and how they could put it right.

As of this writing, my beloved Bournemouth are not so much on the brink of relegation as in the grim, dark, seemingly-inescapable depths of it. Languishing 14 points from safety after a ten-point deduction, the Cherries seem irretrievably doomed to spend next season in League Two. So what would I do about this?
The ten-point deduction for going into administration is unfortunate but, sadly, irreversible and the only way AFC Bournemouth can avoid the drop now is to fight, fight, fight. An upset victory over former Premier League side and then-top-of-the-table Nottingham Forest proved that Bournemouth have what it takes to win against any League One side, they have simply failed to do so in any consistent way.
Struggling to find 11 players for the majority of the season, Bournemouth have loaned players from other teams to fill their ranks, but the problem with quick fixes is that they don't solve root problems. They may be useful for an end-of-season relegation crisis but a quick fix is no good for a season-long problem.
I'd try to find some loan talent - within their financial capabilities - that matched the skills of some of their earlier finds (England star Jermain Defoe played on loan for the Cherries throughout the 2000/01 season) then they just might be able to save themselves from the drop and begin to plan for next season in League One.
