Graeme Souness - zero in management skill
How unlucky are Liverpool to have had two of the worst managers in the business?

Is the worst Premier League manager ever someone who takes over a poorly performing team, is given very little money, and they end up relegated? Or is it a manager who takes over a team, wins the Champions League trophy in his first season (with his predecessor's team) then spends £150m to turn them into also-rans?
In between those two examples (one being the Liverpool current manager - you can guess which one) is a whole heap of managers who do a decent job under very difficult circumstances. Managers such as David Moyes at Everton, who is renowned for his skilled tactics during a game, often outwitting much more experienced managers like Rafa Benitez, and Sven Goran Eriksson.
Moyes is noted for his ability to get the best out of half-decent players by quality coaching and man management. Also his buys have been superb. He can spot talent with his eyes shut, buys at extraordinarily cheap prices then moulds them into England internationals (Joleon Lescott being the latest). Then on to some other managers, like Sam Allardyce, who was superb for Bolton Wanderers. They gave him loyalty and a little bit of money and he turned them into a very good Premier League team.
This is slightly overshadowed by the treatment he received from the Newcastle board and fans when he was shown the door after only five months in charge, fuelling the unbelievable desperation of Newcastle's fickle fans who demand success because, for some reason, they are convinced it's their God-given right.

Calling anyone who touches upon liverpool a pussy or a fanny (your words, not mine) and then accusing them of jealousy is a poor way to justify benitez's inability toturn money into sucsess. Cup competitions aside, liverpool for the past 18 years have always been touted as having a good shot at the title, and fans and players declaring that "this year will be ours!". In recent years liverpool have been so far away from winning that it would be safe to assume that liverpool can be placed in the same bracket as overrated, underachiveing, overspenders such as tottenham and newcastle. There is no such thing as the big 4, only a big 3.

"the treatment he received from the Newcastle board and fans when he was shown the door after only five months in charge" September 2004 - Febuary 2006 = 5 months? Whatever Kenny. Fickle he says! So you would expect supporters to welcome in a manager that they know isn't good enough? Perhaps pat him on the back when he takes them down? Buy him a pint when he does their mother? Kenny mate. Here's a tip. Don't write about football again. You clearly know nothing about it! (TIP: making things up doesn't make them real)
