With all the money Premier League footballers receive, how much would superstition cost, if proven to play a vital role in a player’s career?
Some people believe that superstition doesn’t exist, that it is just an excuse if an athlete plays well or badly. But if a player has a good run could superstition play a part in that?
Many footballers have admitted to having a bizarre routine which they carry out before a match, and they believe will help bring them or the team luck.
Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo gets his hair cut at the same hairdressers in Wilmslow, Cheshire, before every game; he has scored 33 goals already this season.

I'm not always superstisious, but on my way to all united games, I feel one must salute every magpie one see's on the way. 1 being bad luck, 2 being good and 3 meaning good fortune. I travel from North Wales, so imagine how many I see. Then on the way to the ground, I refuse to walk across any 3 grids, bad luck, and go out of my way to cross 2 grids being good luck. Apart fom this I dont really follow superstitions to much !
