Revealed: FOUR players that Arsenal need to offload
With the Gunners' season all but over, there is no room for sentiment before Arsene Wenger regroups ahead of the next campaign. Some household names must be shown the door.

Much has been said and many have been critisised - and now that the season is drawing to its end we can draw up our own conclusions.
Having followed Arsenal for a long time, I, like many others, have my own opinion and one thing I can conclude on what I have seen is that the Gunners do not have any war chest at all, let alone the £70m they are talking about.
Starting to analyse the team I think that players like Justin Hoyte and Philippe Senderos are not good enough.
They have piled up pressure on their team-mates at the back. The fact we saw Kolo Toure playing at right-back lately is a confirmation that there is no faith in either Hoyte or Senderos. The worst deision of the season was to award the captain's armband to William Gallas.

I agree wholeheartedly with the above: RUBBISH!

why on earth would we get rid of RVP? hes the best striker weve got. given time he will adapt and will be the best striker in the world.
by paul walsh on April 15, 2008
Adebayor has scored alot of goals this season and against big teams its the other teamates dat dried up as well since edu got injured we should concentrate in strenghtening the team other than gettin rid of our proper players it should be in. kun aguiro 14, benarfa 15-20 benzema 20 plus zapata 9 g barry 10 modric 12 out bedner 5 hoye 3 senderos whatever we can get rosicky 10 plus wud any suporters disagree

Think we need to get rid of a whole lot of bloggers, starting with you. They are far more of a concern to me than the first team. Get rid of RVP???? yeah, and Napoli should've sold Maradone because hes just too short. Blinkered fool.

But now go shoot yourself and do us all a favour! The only one I would agree with is Senderos, we have given him the benefit of the doubt for 3 seasons and I think he would be the first to admit that he cannot handle 'some' opposition. Then you criticise Denilson who has barely played, Robin Van Persie barely played, and while his injury problems are a concern, I think once they behind him he will go on to be a legend at Arsenal. Each season he has started with a bang and then got injured which will reduce his effectiveness. We should cash on Hoyte, but he is a happy squad player that always gives his best, so if he stays I am happy. Bendtner has to stay, he offers a lot to the team, but each time he has come in the team has not been playing well, so you can hardly blame him
these are the must keeps. Hleb, fabregas, toure, clichy, RVP, adebayour, sagna, walcott and more. hleb is the best attacking midfielder in the world. this may sound mad, but hleb is more usefull than ronaldo for man u. id be gutted to see him, RVP or fabregas go. Keep bendtner. if he is given games, he will be vital.
by DON COSTA on April 15, 2008
i agree with richardson. once the injuries are behind him, he will be an abolute legend. and best striker in world.
Ade out? you are an idiot
by DONALDO on April 15, 2008
EBOUE ONE ASSIST AND NO GOALS ALL SEASON IS THERE A WORST PLAYER IN EUROPE? SELL HIM SENDEROS,GILBERTO,HOYTE,BENDTNER AND ALMUNIA. SPEND THE BLOODY £70M
almunia???? more like Lehmann. Almunia is far superior.
by slim collo on April 15, 2008
let me just start with the attack, yeah RVP just cant stay fit but he's arsenal most talented player(maybe Hleb can match him),then Bendtner just needs more games.Denilson has hardly played this season you dumbass. The only question is Robert Massa should never comment on this site.
well said

3 months ago Ade was the best thing since sliced bread, now he's having a barren patch everyone wants to get rid of him. Yeah admittedly he's no Henry and his touch needs improvement but is it not surprising he ran out of steam the last few weeks when he has carried the front line on his own all season. Also why sell RVP, he has been injured but last season kept us in the top 4 when Henry was out. He started this season really brightly until he got injured. Remember these are both young players as well so the best is still too come. Re injuries I don't think we are buying players prone to injury but because we can't rotate the team because the squad is too small we are rushing players back from injury, playing them with knocks and just generally not giving them sufficinet rest. Obviously something is eventually going to give. If we had more depth and quality in the squad we could rest players more and prevent burn out and injuries. This season everyone expected us to be out the top four after Henry left and we have challenged for the league right up until the last 4 games so in effect we have out done expectation with a very young squad. Next season they will be more experienced and with a few new faces we will be even better. Seriously had we stayed in third all season we would be applauded it's is only because we actually got to the top and let it slip that everyone is making out that we have failed. Don't get me wrong I would have loved to have won something but maybe it is a year too soon. Roll on 2008-2009 season.

I think first team players that need to be vut are Eboue and Senderos.. Eboue is the biggest waste of time and cant score to save his life. He used to srt up a few at the beginning of the season and now thats dried up too. He also does not have the right temprement to be in the Arsenal team.. He dives too much and loves a row.. We all hate players that do that in other teams so whyhave one of our own doing it. Senderos seems like a nice bloke but just not good enough to be a part of our defence.. RVP is quality but injury does not only seem tohave been a problem but seems that it will always be a problem....I can see him being injured time and time again. Rosicky is the same and Arsene doesnt see a time that he will even be back in proper training let alone playing in the first team. Adebayor is kinda driving me nuts at the moment.. True he has scored a few goals this season andsome were quite important.. But he lacks the finesse that Henry possessed, he cant beat defenders and his passing is nowhere near good enough to be part of the bes passing team in the world! We need a proper striker and Adebayor can be the shadow striker or support striker.
our season went wrong when we lost Eduardo!
by Kenneth Anokwu on April 15, 2008
Ade's all round contribution cannot be faulted. we need a fit RVP and another very clinical scorer like a THIERRY HENRY. Eduardo is more like a winger to me. The menatl depth of Senderos is the problem not his ablity to defend.
by matt jamison on April 15, 2008
Youre full of shit dude...
by Nick on April 15, 2008
I will still support Senderos. He seems to be lacking confidence. He will be good in the future. We need however to get rid of Gallas; Toure and Eboue and Adebayor. Bendtner is good. Had adebayor played like Bendtner we could have atleast drawn the match if not won it. I am not sure about Gilberto and Lehmann as to me both are really good enough for the team. We need a better goalkeeper than Almunia for sure. Lehmann is right in critising Almunia as Almunia does not deserve to be number 1. Hope Flamini stays. Arsene Wenger also needs to be a bit agressive enough like Alex Ferguson to stop all clubs from sniffing around Arsenal.
