Ronaldo is the reason for Manchester United's dominance
The Portuguese winger is arguably the greatest right wing striker in Europe. Would Manchester United be threatening for the title without him?

On September 19th 2007, Ronaldo scored a goal at the de Jose Alvalade against Sporting Lisbon in a Champions League tie and began yet another remarkable season for a man who has the potential to become one of the greatest players in the Red Devils' illustrious history.
Some, such as assistant manager Carlos Queiroz, states that the young Portuguese right fielder is close to being there, but still lacks the consistency to be called the best player in the world. But with 40 goals scored in the overall season – the man is almost singularly responsible for winning the Devils the double of Premier League champions and lords of Europe
When Sir Alex Ferguson signed the young man, it was said that only the wise boss realised the astronomical potential of the young man.
Since his debut in 2003 against Bolton Wanderers where he played a sublime 30 minutes as a substitute the young star has become a central figure in the team set-up, combining with Wayne Rooney to field probably the most lethal one-two strike combination in Europe. In 2007 Ronaldo signed an extension to his current contract, despite rumours he was unhappy at the club – whispers floated by Read Madrid. With a five-year deal worth the most of any contract offered by United, he will likely remain with the club until at least 2012, at which time he will not even by 30 years of age

An alcoholic without booze is better off!
I thought the same thing until I saw him come up against Messi and Ronaldo was then completely put in the shade!

Thr truth is, even when Ronaldo did not play, United were outstanding. Everytime United have one outstanding player, people claim he is the one responsible for the success. The truth is, United are a real team. We do not rely on one player. Sir Alex has proved it by offloading the most utstanding performers of our team. Stam, Ruud? Maybe you should rephrase your statement to, "The truth is, Ronaldo has been outstanding, but even if he wasn't, United would still be serious contenders"

u haven't meet the best ever lived player in 2008....Cristiano Ronaldo. Portugual will go far if not win the euro cup, unless Italy or France will win with the help of the referees, should we Portugueses go to the Italy or France school...you know what I mean...just ask the Italyians...... just my opinion...end-of-discussion
