The season is finally coming to an end and only now can we really declare who should be in our Premier League All-Star team.

We have all had a go at choosing our fantasy teams throughout the year based on week-by-week ratings but now it's time to look at the season as a whole. We all have our own ideas and favourites, so here's mine:

In goal i stick with my choice all season - BRAD FRIEDEL. He has helped Blackburn nearly gain a European spot once again and has saved the club many a point in matches this term. The tall Yank is an integral part of Rovers success and the fans think he is brilliant. Just look at the fantastic match he had against Manchester Utd a few weeks ago. I think he is the best in the Premier League at the moment.

'So many good performances have come from midfielders this season it is difficult to choose just four'

My centre-backs have to be the England duo RIO FERDINAND and JOHN TERRY. They play well as a partnership for England and are too outstanding central defenders in the Premier League. They are dependable, brave and they have what it takes to play against the best strikers in Europe. Both players are solid and bolster the defence of their respective clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea.

GLEN JOHNSON is my right-back pick. The youngster is a powerful defender with plenty of pace and ability. He has done well for Portsmouth this season and deserves success when playnig in the FA Cup Final next week. I also feel there is alot more to come from this 23-year-old England international. GAEL CLICHY has been a great left-back for Arsenal this season. He defends extremely well and shows great pace when moving forward. The young Frenchman has done a solid job in replacing Ashley Cole in this postion.

So many good performances have come from midfielders this season it is difficult to choose just four. CRISTIANO RONALDO is an obvious choice on the right. The attacking midfielder has been the player of the season in the Premier League. He has scored nearly 40 goals and set up many more and he isn't even classed as a striker. His free-kickS taking and amazing ability have made him a revelation in the Manchester Utd. He has simply been unstoppable throughout the campaign. I dont think anyone could leave him out of their season ending team.

CESC FABREGAS and DAVID BENTLEY would also be in my squad. These two, like Ronaldo, have the ability to turn around games with their clever play. Both have pace and powerful shooting ability, and Bentley is a great crosser of the ball which has helped his Blackburn strikers on more than one ocassion this season.

Fabregas simply oozes quality and he will be disappointed that Arsenal could not sustain their Premier league title challenge. He deserves success and is definitely in my starting line-up. Bentley still has to prove himself a little with Blackburn but he is going in the right direction for fame with club and country.

STEVEN GERRARD gets my vote as the left side midfielder. The Anfield captain has the ability to score many a goal for his beloved club and can open up the pitch with his brilliant passing. He bolsters the Liverpool midfield and is a key to their success.

The two strikers in my squad are ROQUE SANTA CRUZ of Blackburn and FERNANDO TORRES of Liverpool. Bargain buy Cruz has been a solid attacker for blackburn and has done well to fit in so quickly for his club. He has scored more 20 goals and has linked up well with Bennii McCarthy and Jason Roberts, outpointing them in several games. He is confident of his ability and has scored against the top sides this year.

Torres has been the key for Liverpool with his goal-scoring ability, especilly in the latter half of the season. He is quick and ready to have a crack at goal from any situation. He is young and, like Ronaldo, has no fear. He is the number one striker on my all-star team.

There are so many players to choose from who have performed so well this season that you will probably disagree with my eleven. The Premier League is full of talent and I apologise for those players who have had good seasons but have not made it into my starting eleven.
