The summer signings Arsenal should be looking at
It's never too early to revamp your squad, so Arsene Wenger should be aiming to fill the gap left by Mathieu Flamini sooner rather than later.

Now that the season is over, Arsene Wenger has some time to contemplate his summer signings. He has already been quoted as saying that he needs a world-class centre back and a creative player. He made no mention of the most evident gap in this Arsenal squad: Mathieu Flamini.
During his career with the Gunners, Flamini held the midfield tight to allow Cesc Fabregas to roam free and set up plays. He ousted World Cup-winner Gilberto Silva and held down a regular spot in the team.
Both parties made a mistake; Arsenal should have tried harder to keep him, and Flamini left for a few extra Euros. History shows that when Arsenal's first-team players leave, their careers spiral downward.
He’s gone, and instead of lamenting his loss, it's time to think about the future. Wenger hasn’t publicly addressed this and some may say it’s too early. But, with every team on their marks to bag the next transfer, it can never be too early.

Arsene! if in any case you read me, please buy Yaya Touré or Barry or Aquilani to replace Flamini. But More over, Buy Diego from Werder to replace the untrustfull Hleb and give in the same way a powerful creative midfielder/winger to the mighty squad raising up in Emirates. I would see Albiol or Kompany in the 2008/9 team as they are both young-promising-powerfull-good pass giver- and willing OH YES! DONT FORGET A NEW GOALIE AS ALMUNIA IS DEFINITELY NOT DECISIVE THOUGH QUITE GOOD--- MAYBE EURO IN SWITZERLAND CAN GIVE AN IDEA BUT GOMEZ OR BORUC OR KAMENI COULD FIT BIG UP TO AW BOOM-KAYA SEE YA

I am not sure we need to spend our money on a replacement for him. Earlier in the season Gilberto looked ropey when playing in Flamini's absence but in the last 2-3 games looks back to his best & is every bit as good as Flamini when playing well. I think the bad performances were psychological as at that time he had become the understudy & thought he would be surplus to requirements. Since he has realised he may become the main man again he has looked good. We need an older, been there & done it, international like Gilberto & he can be backed up by the young Denilson & Song next year. If we got anyone I would like Barry but I think we can go with what we have & spend the money on another centre back, wide attacking goal scoring player & possibly another striker.

With Lehmann, Flamini & more than likely Hleb leaving Arsenal, I think Wenger would do well to bring back Diarra & Bentley to replace them. As for the keeper situation I think Joe Hart would make a brilliant signing for them. Bring in Ben Arfa & another centre back & I think Arsenal will probably win the league next season, or hopefully finish 2nd behind my beloved Liverpool. I love the way Arsenal play & I hope their team arn't dismantled in the summer. I think a starting line up of Hart, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clicey, Bentley, Fabrigas, Diarra, Ben Arfa, Van Persie & Adebayour would be exciting to watch & very difficult to play against.

i think Wenger ought to bring in a few experienced attackers like femi martins, totti, and yaya toure; witha midfield man like ronaldinho, deco or forget any trophy next season.
