The season just gone may have felt like many a recent campaign at St James’ Park– little direction with the club seemingly resembling a soap opera culminating in what the pundits like to call a “transitional season.”
Or, it could go down as the season which kick started a revolution. The Keegan revolution. Which, although it was ridiculed in the beginning, showed enough shoots of recovery to suggest Keegan could yet bring the glory days to the Toon army – and if all King Kev does is bring hope then that will be a major improvement on the reign of Sam Allardyce.
