Cesc Fabregas Soler was born on May 4, 1987, in Vilessoc De Mar, Spain. Joining Barcelona as a trainee he first came to prominence at the 2003 U17 World Cup where he was the competition’s top scorer and was also named player of the tournament as Spain finished runners-up, losing 1-0 to Brazil in the final.
Possibly seeing that his chances would be limited at Barcelona a 16-year-old Fabregas took the brave decision to come to England and signed for Arsenal on September 11, 2003. Living in digs with fellow new boy Philippe Senderos, who had signed for the Gunners just three months earlier, Fabregas had little time to settle in and learn the new language because just six weeks later the history making would begin.
On October 28 he became Arsenal’s youngest ever player when he made his debut against Rotherham United in the Carling Cup at Highbury. He then became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer when he netted in the same competition against Wolverhampton Wanderers, again at Highbury.
Fabregas would have to wait until the following season to make his league debut. He didn’t have to wait long, however, as he started the opening fixture away at Everton. Yet another record fell when the young Spaniard scored in the 3-0 home win against Blackburn Rovers to become Arsenal’s youngest league goalscorer in the game that saw Arsenal surpass Nottingham Forest’s record of 42 unbeaten league matches.

Fabregas deserves the arm band. Though young he behaves maturely even more than the experienced players who cost us honours this season. Wenger should waste no time in handing over the arm band coz there is no doubt that he is our tallisman.

The BOY is a legend already. For me he is by far and away the best central midfielder in the world already and anyway delussional manc that wants to tell me that Anderson is better needs to go and have a quiet word with themselves. Give Cesc the armband he deserves it. Not only is he a natural leader and a fantastic footballer but alongside Gilberto is the player most passionate about our great club which is rare to see in todays climate where everything revolves around money

I think Cesc is matured enough to be captain and to lead Gunners. He is a very talented and revelation. Cesc see U next season being Arsenal's captain.

The lad should be given some more time before given the hand band. No doubt his committed and will be the future and successful captain of arsenal. But if the captainship is going to be taken from gallas it should be given to kolo toure.

I think Fabregas is still slightly young and should be givin one more season. Id say that Gallas is a good captain as he makes little errors in the back and he is very reliable

I honestly think the arm band shold go to Toure, Cesc should be Vice. He is a great player but Toure Deserves more the arm band than anyone else in the team except Gilberto

technically hes the skipper on the pitch , his attitude his desire , his natural leading instect says it all... the armband is just a plus plus and extra motivation for the spaniard... but hes always the leader on the pitch... he has the kill and the character

I dis agree that he deserve the captain hand band. truely he his our motivator and best player but he his young and i believe giving him hand band will not bring out the best in him. He has more to offer us than what we have seen i know but we dont need to rush him. AW said he prefares a defender and for me Kolo Toure should be out next captain for now while fabregas will be in the next3 years to come. I want you to know giving henry the captain band then killed his game as he did not come out with his best the way he used to. If wenger is going to collect the hand band from Gallas please he need to buy a good defender that will replace him because he his going to he the same emotional problems like Gilberto and that will affect his game. Left to me that was what affected Gilberto and he his still a very good defensive mildfielder.

The man of the season at Arsenal in my own view has to be Cesc. He made most of the moves that Adebayor and the others were able to score. His prescence in any game made watching Arsenals games worthwhile. LONG LIVE CESC FABREGAS!!!!

I prefer that Wenger should give the armband to cesc, this will rise his molarity and rush him 2 the FIFA player of the year prize!!This will also make his return 2 spain a never come true!as he will reconsider the club for the honour.I think at his age he's the best midfielder...I was worried about the crucial penalty he took agaist the world's best goalkeeper which threw the world champions out of the EURO 2008 tournament,as I've never seen him facing any keeper like that before but he managed!!!BIG UP OUR FAB!LET THE FEET PROOVE FOR THEM.
