Manchester United are just champion as Chelsea's Terry sings the blues
John Terry's face said it all after he missed the penalty that would have made Avram Grant's men kings of Europe. But United deserved to win on the night.

Public opinion was that Manchester United would be the winners - but Chelsea seemed to be serious about their game. The game kicked off with both teams looking to attack and 15 minutes into the action, Cristiano Ronaldo scored. It looked like the predictions were coming true until 30 minutes later, Chelsea equalised through Frank Lampard.
From then on the game was balanced. There were opportunities but none were converted and 30 minutes extra time didn’t help, either.
Chelsea’s Didier Drogba got a red card in between and the game finally edged onto the penalty shootout.

Great final. Passion, action, drama, controversy. This game had it all. Justice was also served in that the team with the greatest number of arrogant, mercenary, unfeeling individuals attracted only by the money of the Russian finally got what they deserved in the Russian's backyard. Terry's spitting was disgusting. Carvalho's tackle on Ronaldo was disgusting. The entire team's failure to even acknowledge United's victory with a simple handshake was disgusting. The player's lack of kindness towards the small kids as they prepared to enter the stadium (compare with Utd players ) was disgusting. I could go on and on. I have no sympathy for the Chelsea team, they feel that they are above everyone. The moneybags of the russian attracts the type of player that we now see as a "team". Disgusting. I have no sympathy for Terry. Passion is one thing. Tevez has passion, Rooney has passion, Ferdinand has passion but Terry's actions not only in this game but throughout the season don't allow me to feel any sympathy. Learn to lose Terry, your actions are dispicable and you are the loser.

United the better team??? Once Chelsea equalised they bossed the whole of the second half. Even in extra time it was chelsea trying to win it. Lady Luck walked hand in hand with United last night end of.
No problem with luck, the record books will not show it. As it didn't when you beat Bayern in 1999. When having been outplayed for the entire game and with Bayern hitting a post you snatched the win. Last night you were lucky simple as that, enjoy your win. As for the chelsea players not shaking hands rubbish

pete borota, last time I checked a game is made up of more than the second half. Chelsea had two chances hitting the woodwork-that is all. United created at least 4 chances in the first half.Extra time was 50/50. Penalties are a lottery but when your captain looks for the headlines but spits (or worse ) at other players then the best team won. Get over it.

PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u r telling me Terry did nothing...plz...truely plz...look i support chelsea and england...and i do think Terry is a really good defender. BUt he is the man who brought us to where we are. The passion....he's full chelsea. He is been at Chelsea seen the age of 14. Rio (i respect him alot) was a great leeds united player and the whole team slipped and then he went to Man Utd. SO PLZ DON"T SAY TERRY HAS NO PASSION!!!

Terry was amazing. That one attempt from ManU where it almost went in if it wasn't for that last minute save from Terry. Penalties can really be hard on the players. I feel sorry for him.

this loss hurts so much, to be one kick away from lifting the Trophy and not doing is just a shame, it was so painful to watch united lift the trophy after we had been the better team. Terry of course can not be blamed for anything he saved our asses way to many times to feel any spite against him, but it is such a big what if, WHAT IF Drogba had not been red carded, would he have put the penalty into the net, WHAT IF Terry had not been the fifth kicker and it was Kalou instead could he have done it for us. I found very strange seeing Terry step up for it in the first place, i hate to say it, but after Ten Cate said that Terry was not one of the first SIX kickers, did a part of him want to take that fifth kick from the original kicker ( after Drogba ) so that he could seal the win for the team and get the Glory and the headlines ? it is unthinkable of him but it is always a possibility that, that was what was going on in his head. It will take quite a long time to get over this Heart break, but once we all do we can look forward to noxt season and hope we have more success and one more deserved chance in the Champions League Final, lets hope the team stays together and that includes Grant who has done a Phenomenal Job in his first season in a Big League Team outside off Israel, he has been great for Chelsea. I will label this season as the " So close but yet so far " Season because of what happened last night, because of the Carling cup final, and because all of those devastating last minute goals in the league we had conceded which ultimately cost us 10 points that would have won us the league. Lets hope next season we go one better in each tournament and we lift more than one cup. GO BLUESSSSSS!!!!! GET DAVID VILLA !!!!

a Blues fan out there , who cannot be anything other than proud of his team, all in all you were the better side for three quarters of the game, after a dodgy first half.Felt for Terry and those fans stuck at Gatwick, fantastic game though, cant wait till August and start hating your lot again.
