Aleksandr Hleb looks like he is on his way from Arsenal. The Belarus international midfielder hasn’t denied that he wants to move from the Emirates but there must be a reason that has prompted his decision, rather than his agent claiming the lifestyle is too noisy.

Hleb's slick movement and creativity has made him one of the most admired footballers in England, but this doesn’t seem to be enough for him. instead, he seems to be opting for either Inter Milan or Real Madrid.

Arsene Wenger seems ready to fill Hleb's boots with another quality player, Samir Nasri. The French whiz-kid has come through the ranks at Marseille and seems determined to establish a career at the Emirates.

'Flamini's move to Italy was was all about money'

With Arsene Wenger publicly announcing that the deal is nearly done, there is hope after Hleb, but will this solve Arsenal's problem of big-name players asking to move? Are Arsenal to blame for this or does the English way of life have a drastic effect on other nationalities?

Only a few weeks ago in Milan, we saw Mathieu Flamini put in an outstanding contribution - and where is the French player now? He tells us that his move to Italy was not fuelled by money, but surely stepping down a league is all about money.

At the moment the Premier League is the very best - look at the Champions League, for example. English teams dominated the tournament, although for some ridiculous reason the national team seems far from competing with the best in international competitions.

Arsenal seem low on squad players for next year, and Wenger is telling us that if all goes to plan he will be recruiting. But who are the players on his wish-list?

If Nasri is coming to Arsenal, then this is a good start. He is a very promising player.
